...so now "Done and one's" are somehow better than One and Done's??? Let me know when one of your 'Done and One's' signs an NBA max contract, Rick.

During his press conference today, Pitino took another shot at the one-and-done system, telling reporters he prefers graduate transfers to players who stay at school their freshman year then go to the pros.

This one-and-done is better than the other one-and-done because they’re not just getting a 6-month eduction,” Pitino said, according to Jody Demling.

I'm confused. If Pitino doesn't care for the one-and-done thing, then why does he recruit all those guys.

Is a 6 month eduction anything like a 15 second erection?

Because Pitino knows his teaching/coaching will turn them in to multi year college players...instead of preparing them for the NBA...

They also aren't getting $30 million over the next five years, but certainly that extra semester of Accounting 350 and Art History 404 at the bucolic S. Third Street campus compensates for that.
Bonus points if you can spend a year attending class at UL and get mugged less than once.

You have to be a 5th year player to be willing to spoon the hags Pitino was shuffling in and out of Minardi Hall. You think a lottery pick is going to be surfing those skanks?

who says this guys are staying all the way till May...I want to seem a transcript of exactly what courses they are taking.
Just because they are taking "grad" coursework really doesn't mean chit. The are still one and done...I would be absolutely shocked if either one of those two finish their master's program.

I'm waiting for him to threaten to kill Cal or bring in a goon to hurt someone in a game. He's heading in that direction.

masturbation...for 15 seconds is that a Masters program

[laughing]

One of the things I enjoy is building relationships with guys, and I don't want to get to know them for seven months and they move on because I never get to know them."

Exactly. And on top of this hypocrisy, freshmen may stay longer (and many do, even at UK), whereas with graduate transfers, you only have one year with them guaranteed. Pitino is a joke.

The idea that Pitino has had, and will have, a better, more mutually respectful, and meaningful relationship with, say, Trey Lewis than John Calipari has had, and will have, with, say, Anthony Davis, is so obviously ludicrous and false that I'm surprised even the master of deceit could spin it out with a straight face.

A guy like Lewis signs on as a freelance body in May after already completing his college life at Cleveland State and after a better offer doesn't come along, shows up at the first practice, and after the last game in March has no special incentive to do more than send Rickie P a post card from Croatia or Poland -- if he can still stand the guy.

Cal nurtures Davis through the difficult transition from high school to college, acts as a second father during those early days away from home, makes sure Davis maximizes his time at Kentucky, shepherds him through the NBA draft process, sees that he completes his school work in his freshman year, then shares joyful tears with him on the night when his family is made financially secure forever and all his dreams come true. He continues to act as a connected counselor for years after that.

Yeah I love how all these other major programs bash us for recruiting this way when those coaches were recruiting the same players. It would be funny just one season to see Louisville and Indiana have top ranked classes because I guarantee the opinions of their fans would change instantly.

Rick Pitiko lives in his own world... One where he thinks people don't have archives with direct quotes and cell phones with cameras.
