Not sure how long I'll stick around but here is at least a thread where we can commiserate.

8-1 LSU in the bottom of the 2nd. We have have decided to display our entire arsenal of futility. Singles, HBP's, walks, passed ball, fielding error. No pitcher warming up after three straight singles so this may be like the Texas Tech 3rd game.

We have one good starting pitcher ...

UK gets two back. 9-3. Top of the lineup is failing us. Shinn and Collett have the bases loaded and neither of them do anything with it.

You had to know after we lost the first game in such excruciating fashion that we would get blown out in game 2, was never in doubt

Johnson throws 3 walks in a row and walks in 2 runs with it across 2 games.

14-3.

Why the hell is Ryan Johnson pitching?

Do they have a problem with Hill? Doesn't start this weekend and gets to start this game and has two at bats with a walk and an RBI and they take him out...?

With a dozen or so draft picks last year and NOT making the NCAA tournament is bad enough. Now they are just out classed from what I’ve seen. They look like a JV team...

Long season,Mingione is going to revise his plan on how to build a competitive SEC baseball program. Fans want to go to Omaha! Way overdue!

I hate to say this but Ive already checked out this year. Its not just baseball. Best season in football since the 70s. Didnt really care. The basketball team lost yesterday. Didnt care. Havent watched more than 10 minutes of a game all year. I couldnt even tell you the last time the girls played and who it was against. But baseball has always been my sport. But the excitement of the new park, the new season.........Its gone. I have season tickets and honestly, I dont feel the desire to go to the games. Whats wrong with me?!?!?!?!

I feel similar to you. As a kid and growing up I would really get into every game, but now there's just so much other stuff that the sports just aren't as important and I don't get as excited for them.

When I was younger I wouldnt miss a basketball game of football game if at all possible. Id be glued to the tv. I followed baseball obsessively. Especially the Reds. When I started really watching UK, I got deeply invested and was at every home game since 2008. Traveled to watch in Louisville. The regional in 2017 was one of the best baseball atmospheres I had been involved in since the world series in Cincy in 1990. I don't know if the ticket fiasco for KPP has played a part. But I just can't find myself getting invested in this years group.

Yea, I can understand that. Hopefully they rise above this adversity and become a group we can't help but like.

Ming had a stacked roster last year and couldn’t even make the NCAA tournament. This year has been an embarrassment so far. It’s too early to give up on this team, but I can’t help but feel Ming was a one hit wonder. I certainly hope not because he isn’t going anywhere.

I agree. Last year, it's absolutely ridiculous and a total coaching failure to miss the NCAA tourney with that roster. This year, was hoping we would be scrappy underdogs, but we have yet to record a single win over a good team. Going to be a looooongggg year

Mingione is going to have to be a miracle worker to save his job. As you guys said, this season they are by far the worst team in th SEC. There is going to a big struggle to hold on to this recruiting class(how good is it?.) Personally, I think after next year we will need to be looking for a new coach to take over a disaster that is being created. Very sad!
