Not at all looking past Oakland. Any team csn beat us with out defense an we can beat any team with or scoring
Already up to -13.5 UK.
I think we roll. Cats by 21+, and I think we even jump out to a lead early! Gasp!

UK had two injured players in that game and it still went to OT. And St. Peters beat Purdue next out. Oakland is not St. Peters.
Did you even look up Oakland's stats or record?
We will cover and then some.
It's the 2nd game I'm worried about. Both TTech and NC State could take it from us.
TT has no center, I can't see them stopping Burns. I'm expecting NC State to win fairly convincingly.
So with that possible match up in mind, we're gonna need all 15 fouls from Z AB and Ugo.
To be fair. St. Peters wasn’t St. Peters before they were St. Peters. Just kidding. Kind of. I don’t think they had done anything during the year that would make you think they could even compete with the Cats and Purdue, much less beat them.

Of course we will start by eight down as Cal spots every team that much by intentionally starting a lineup that continues to do it. So we will need to beat them actually by 21 in the final 37 minutes to beat the spread .
Surely you know being a gambler you are going up against a super computer that knows to the cent which games “Vegas” has to win and which games don’t matter. If you and a couple of thousand others see that spread as a can’t miss, I promise you with all my heart, “Vegas” will make sure Oakland turns into St. Peter’s, Wisconsin, or UNCheat! 100% guaranteed, because Cal has made “Vegas” more money in his career at UK, than the next 3-4 CBB coaches combined!
Expecting some big change for our team at this point is silly. It all boils down to fundamentals. A & M won the game because they killed us on rebounding and having more shots and free throws. We turned the ball over a lot more as well.
Cal simply sucks now as a coach. I use to say the past few years that we were taking too many 3's as well as quick shots. This team a blind man can see is way better at quick shots and 3's. When we start that dribble drive nonsense and forcing passes to the paint it is goodbye. Look at BAMA win, Georgia, and to a lesser extent Tennessee. Sheppard, Dillingham, and Reeves were constantly firing from 3 point range. Reed even took some at very beginning of a possession. Less turnovers, more shots, and the right players taking them.
I am also trying to recall any half-court Cal called set that ended in a score.

This just in. Short is sick, so they're looking for a replacement. They have calls out to both Higgins and Pat Adams.
For the sake of your homes and families, watch a couple of Oakland's games on Youtube before you make a bet. Yes, Oakland got beat by some sketchy teams. But they led OSU and Illinois late and beat Xavier. Actually look at their zone defense and imagine our people trying to drive on it. It's got a tighter mesh than a mosquito net. Yes, if we hit our 3s, we win easily. But this is a one-and-done tournament.
They have a 3pt specialist who'd make Bruce Perl or Nate Oats nervous. He's 2nd in the country in attempts and if you don't fight through picks, he shoots. No conscience. No range restriction. Have we ever had a game where that one guy you've never heard of goes for 30 or 40? Do you imagine refs won't call fouls on people fighting through picks?
Yes, we could easily win by 30. They aren't big but they are disciplined. They switch defenses in the blink of an eye. They shoot well around the basket. They run smart sets. They pass. So, why did they lose? They're short, and they're streaky shooters. Why did they win? They're disciplined and smart and uninhibited, they block out well on rebounds, and their zone defense is like a fish net.
