UGA's Jalen Carter charged in Fatal crash

Just being an idiot kid. Wasn’t out with Miller or Bradley playing wannabe gangster. He’ll be scooped up rather early still I’d imagine.

Forget screwing his draft slot, he caused 2 people's death

Georgia & Kirby were awfully fast to jump on this and instantly declared it an pure accident with zero criminal causes. Glad authorities performed actual investigations.
The drunk driver who drove recklessly and wrecked isn’t responsible for his and his passengers death?

Yikes. That’s a really stupid and sad situation. I think a lot of top tier athletes feel invincible and don’t realize there are still some things they can do to screw up their life or even end it. I imagine Carter will be able to move past this and have a career still

I am in no way saying he deserved anything but what would the narrative be on Terrence Clark if the car he bounced off of was further in the intersection and he killed them instead of himself. It's really no different. Both were driving like idiots and someone died.

WTF kind of weird "what if..." question is that?

Yes, if Clark had recklessly killed someone else other than himself, everyone would think he is a piece of ish. Are you proposing we wouldn't?

Clark caused his own death, so it is sad & tragic. Carter contributed to the deaths of 2 others, so he is crap. Really not any connections or moral relativism here dude

Young Men, alcohol, ladies in the wee hours of the morning never leads to anything good. Nothing official on the driver yet but that is the rumor.
It was officially released that she had a BAC of over .190, almost 2.5 times the legal limit and the expeditions black box recorded speeds as high as 105 mph. With the warrant for Carter, they’ll likely pull the black box on his jeep for that night too. Could get worse before it gets better.

If they know they were racing … and she was drunk - guessing he probably had some too as he left the scene before cops arrived - but if those are all true, Georgia neeeds to assess their laws because that should not amount to a misdemeanor when deaths are involved.

Either way, it’s something I’d say 75% of under 25s did in their time.

Be prepared for more and more of this- kids essentially driving 100k race cars and/or 100k party on wheels three row suvs with everything under the sun for a good time.

Can't get much worse for the driver of the expedition, she's dead. I am surprised the expedition would run that fast with around 1k lb cargo. Now that TrackHawk Carter was driving is a whole different story. Looking like he has pretty much ruined himself.

Georgia is going to have to prove they told her not to use that truck after hours and they’ve never told her to drive players around. I’m sure with the alcohol being involved, Willocks family might be more litigious than before.

What a fk'n inbred idiot. He shouldn't be drafted at all if he's that fk'n stupid.

For crying out loud

No one made anyone else race

It was stupid all the way around

When I am in my vette, people act like they wanna race me all of the time. They tear out at the stop light or drive along side me and nose ahead hoping I’ll be baited to race them and yes I could easily leave them standing

Guess what? You don’t have to do it

Lying to the cops that’s a whole nuther matter

Sure he will get off easy somehow
Maybe with Athens police. He has probably killed his NFL career.

This is a league that had Henry Ruggs kill someone while drunk speed racing just a yr & a half ago. A lot if teams are gonna mark Carter undraftable.

2 have already, not sure which 2. Incredibly bad decision.

How old are you? I am guessing older than a college jr. His decision was a bad one that turned into a tragic one that cost 2 people their lives. If he were older he may have made a better decision and decided not too. I can tell you without question if I were 20 years old driving the vehicle he was and someone wanted to race we were racing. Was guilty of it many times at that age. But was lucky no one was ever hurt. Lots less traffic 50 years ago

If they haven't already, every CFB head coach should have a talk with their team and declare any form of street racing is a red line, like a DUI or domestic violence. Because of NIL, now more than ever a lot of young men who think themselves indestructible have access to new fast vehicles.
