UGA player arrested for pointing fake gun at strangers

In this day and time this idiot does that and thinks he can get away with it, after being on the team knowing that kind of thing will get his a** in trouble. Let him sit for 5 games and see if he still wants to play.

If he pointed that at me, GA would need a new lineman, that’s for sure.

My thoughts too. Just so happened it was a UGA guy this time. You going to kick him, suspend him for X number of games? Regardless he is doing nothing 100's of other kids are doing. Yes he would be a headline if he did it to me and I would be on trial, but it's the atmosphere we live in today. I may get shot, but I won't be unarmed.

Oh, I am fully aware college kids and kids in general are idiots. Wasn’t taking a shot at UGA, just saying they would need a new lineman if he was dumb enough to do that to me.

And I would kick his dumbass off the team. Can’t fix stupid and that shit might rub off on the rest of the team.

My man, what’s in the water down yonder? Turning into Florida?

Scary

I don't really know what that type gun does, shoots water powered by a CO2 cartridge is my guess. I know it's a different time from when I grew up, and it was a dangerous think to do. But in the end he shot someone with a water gun. If thatdesserves a suspension for a couple games, running steps at 5 AM or a combination so be it, but I don't think it deserves termination, and this guy is a role player not a starter

I grew up in Kentucky, was given my first gun at 12 years old, and told that in no uncertain terms.
I don't understand why gun training was discontinued in public schools. I was raised in Florida elementary schools and we had gun training in the 5th grade. In Jr High and Sr High we had a rifle team.

When I was 8 years old my grandpa gave me a .22 rifle for Christmas and when we returned to school in January I took it to class for show and tell. It was custom then if you wanted too, to bring something you got for Christmas for Show and Tell.

We passed the rifle around the room and the school principal, a man, went out to his truck and brought in his rifle and a pistol to show and pass around the class.

On second thought maybe it couldn't be done today, especially in urban districts. You can't trust city folks with a weapon as has been illustrated time and time again

Yep, knew gun safety before I started to school. Quite a few in my house today. And for pocket knives, I would think it was a safe bet that 75% of the boys had one and a few of the girls. Had to cut that brown mule plug to get a chew.

I taught school at a small elementary school in Western Kentucky in 1959. The local sportsman's club came out and let our boys shoot skeet with a 22 rifle loaded with bird shot. Nobody complained and nobody got hurt. Imagine if that happened today.

I had a pocket knife in my pocket from about age 5 until today. My grandpa gave me one that I came close to losing at the Atlanta airport. I was on a shuttle bus headed to the terminal and realized it was in my pocket. No way I was getting on a plane. So when we got to the terminal I told the bus driver what happened and he said, don't worry. I was running late already and that good man took me back to the Park Lot, waited while I locked it in my truck, and took me back to the terminal. I was the only one on the bus.

I gave him two $20 bills and thank thanked him with all of my heart.

Pretty cool for both of you to do something nice for strangers.
