I'm in the arena, they just played a big Carolina video and at the end had players and Roy saying they have 6 National Championships!! Big Time Liars!! Helms doesn't count!!
UCLA is an improved team, beat us and won at Gonzaga. People forget they were a sweet 16 team last year, with several players returning !
UCLA raining 3's and hitting 60%+ so far. Reminds me of our game against them, especially in that 2nd half.
Is there anyway both teams could lose? That would be the only happy outcome of this game to me!
they have 6 imaginary titles. i give them imaginary congratulations.
They played that stupid video in the Cheater Dean Dome when we watched them play Kentucky there a couple of years ago. I made sure to educate their fanbase where that extra 'title' came from. I also let them know we have like 9 to their 1, but we don't count them in our title count.
Ucla is a good team, UNC is just a better team. If this game was at UCLA, I bet you UNC would be losing by 5-10 pts .
an amazing feeling watching them play. it's really unbelievable roy and pitino are still coaching. i guess no type scandal brings verdict except murder. maybe even then. you got risking a whole university's accredidation and then minors involved in selling recruits their bodies for selecting their program. you couldn't think of a more annoying or creative way to attack the ncaa's accountability. and they literally don't care about pulling their games.
Playing at UCLA would create a 21-26 point difference? Ok, if you say so

Hate seeing UNCheat win this way but at least the announcers have been talking about their academic scandal and impending sanctions.

Because they're a media darling and a national championship contender this season, it just wouldn't be fair for Emmert to hold them accountable and potentially interfere with that!
Another thing, the media has not hammered this the way they did Reggie Bush, Penn State, or even the Derrick Rose stuff, and as a result there is very little public outcry. Ask a casual (non-UK) college basketball fan about the UNC academic scandal and they'll act all confused, "no way, ESPN says they're class, one of the good guys, all about academic integrity." Ask the same fan about UK and Calipari, and they'll call us cheaters or at least say we skirt the rules, OAD is ruining the game, players don't go to class second semester, etc. It's reaching Orwellian levels.
lack of institutional control is a term made up just so we don't have to watch cheaters taint the sports spectacle. even if the wanstein report didn't exist, you had leaked info and and out of control football program and athletics dept. (already on ncaa probation). easy call. you got a big mess and a warning and now another scandal? boom. lack of institutional control. easy easy call. with penn state they overstepped, against ul they so far have not done anything. they put out a statement then years just go by.
The NCAA will never touch their wins or their basketball program. They along with Duke are untouchable.

A difference in 18 pts and yes...... games can be massively swayed by home conference officials and home crowds. Those officials allowed Lee to be basically punched in the face and given a concussion with no call and refusing to go to the monitor to check for a flagrant. If the officials set the tone early that one team needs to watch it and the other team can do what they want....... it has a huge effect on the game.
