Tyler Ulis is the first Wildcat with at least four assists in 16 consecutive games since Roger Harden had 17 in the 1985-86 season.

Here is one of Ulis' career-high 11 assists. A scorer + a facilitator = a really good SEC Player of the Year candidate.

Before the game, Calipari told Ulis this should be a 15-assist game for him, and even though he only got 11, he was tremendous, hitting his first seven shots. White told reporters that Ulis “put on a clinic” defensively, and when he and Murray are playing like that, Kentucky is hard to beat.

Ulis had his third double-double, He had 15 of his 18 points in a dominant first half by the Wildcats. Over his last 12 games, Ulis has had at least five assists every time out and 20 or more points nine times. During the stretch, he is averaging 19.9 points and 7.3 assists, all while playing nearly every minute.

He's on pace to possibly catch Hardens single season high for assist and with luck and a deep run could catch John Wall. He sits at 140 with 8 regular season games plus the post season to go. Hardens record is 232 and Wall's is 241.

I love Tyler Ulis. He cares about winning. If he had a monstrous front court like we had last season, could he have averaged 15 assists a game? He is little dynamite to me. Small but explosive.

Ulis and my 15 year old are the exact same size. When we watch a game and Tyler does something amazing and I look at my boy and think how does someone that size do that.
