3 Willis/ Mathews not crazy about either 4 Postgres/ wynard would really like to see him. 5 lee and humpfries

would agree...

just don't have a consistent post presence...going to have to do the front court and crash the boards by committee...

Ulis, Murray, AP, Lee, Humphries....

I say Humphries because of his size...he maybe isn't quite ready yet...but a good solid month and a half of steady run may just have him flourishing into something come march...we're going to need a big true post presence...even if it is a young inexperienced and not quite developed one...don't really have any other options...everyone else is inconsistent and too thin...

Briscoe, Matthews, Willis, Hawk, Skal...rotate as needed...or as earned...

I'd have:

Ullis
Murray
Mulder
Poy
Lee

Mulder grabbed 8 boards in that game and played well, he can manage the 3 much better than Briscoe, and Poy is better at the 4.

Mulder also gives us another option from deep and needs more shots to take attention off of Ullis and Murray.

Murray ,Mulder and Ulis give us 3 guys that the other team have to account for on the 3 pt line + Murray and Ulis (we know) can hit the mid range jumper. Maybe Mulder can also.

This team has no low post game. It's got to come from three -land and defensive pressure to force turnovers and get easy baskets.

Hawkins - gives you almost the same effort that Briscoe does as a defender. He's also a better shooter.

I haven't seen enough of Mulder to see if he could handle the three position, so until he does, I'd put Dom with that first unit since he's a decent shooter. Also, Willis gives UK another perimeter threat.

UK needs that third guy to spread the court. Briscoe's lack of shooting makes Ulis' penetration a waste of time when he kicks it out to IB for a wide open shot, only to watch it barely draw iron.

If and when Poythress decides he wants to take advantage of his freakish abilities, put him back with the first unit as the 4 man, but leaves Hawkins or Mulder as the three man (Willis is not really good enough to handle the ball as a three man).
