Hope not, but I do wonder if he really does have any relationship with his family anymore. Doesn't seem like he'd be so aggressive if he did. All this drama can't be any good for them.
I think Enes needs to shut his stupid mouth before he gets his family killed. He's a multi-millionaire bring them to the states
Evidently the Turkish government has seen him as the Undertaker or they wouldn't be messing with him.
That will definitely cause a problem if he goes back to Turkey. As another poster said that would put his family at risk.
a problem? forgetting your lunch on the way to work is a problem. enes would be imprisoned and tortured at best. executed at worst.
Enes is watching his home country be destroyed. If he feels led to speak out, I can understand and wouldn't fault him. His father has already disowned him. I have a feeling his father probably had to.
The fact that Erdogan is responding by threatening Enes Kanter with arrest only backs up Kanter's claims.

If he were a Kurd or an Syriac speaking Christian, you would support him speaking out. The fact that he's willing to speak up even though he has no obligation to do so tells me a lot about him.

Terrorism is not based only on violence. It's based on fear and deception. Kanter should protest and fear nothing of those lies.
Funny to me that even with this story all over the news and the internet, there's not anywhere even a single mention of which specific "terror group" Enes supposedly belongs to.

This is not accurate. The "group" is the Gulen Movement (for which Enes has been a very outspoken advocate). Erdogan blames Gulen and his followers for orchestrating last year's coup attempt, and the Turkish Govt has labeled it a terrorist organization.
Fortunately, the U.S Govt does not agree.
I see. I hadn't read that in any version of the story. But now that you say it I do see it in a single version. Nice sleuthing.
