Just write this one off as the turd game of the year. Like clockwork, Stoops teams will have one every season. Hoping this is it.

I thought we already used the turd game card for EKU. Don't think he should get 2 or more turd cards in a season.

More like two sec turd games and sleep walk thru 1-2 non conference games

Last year usc Vsndy hell mizzou was a disaster that we lucked out in…we need to be past shit like this IMO

We’re winning 6-9 regular season games a year and that’s all anyone should expect. Y’all know we don’t play good teams well

Actually, he has a turd game right about this time of the year every year and then promptly loses 3-5 more, dragging fans through some early excitement only to let us down, again.
The bad thing is that this year we have already played every single cupcake team on the schedule. The first time in my lifetime to get three OVC level games and Candy to start the season. We will find out what this team is the rest of the way. We are probably somewhere in-between the team that played Florida and the team we saw today..

You do realize this happens to the vast majority of coaches?

It's usually at least two games a year where we would've been better off not even showing up for the game. That's usually against UT, an SECW road game and/or after a bye week. We've already laid two turds this year (EKU, Ga) so I expect we'll get a few more. Hope I'm wrong.

We haven't shown well vs top teams in the road in the night games. That's for sure. It being the featured night game on ESPN does us no favors but no excuse to not at least compete better by not losing our heads.

Mizzou and of course UT are huge winnable home games. MSU in Starkville is probably a loss because we can't seem to win there

I think espn had projected maybe a 14% chance for UK to win. Pretty slim.

We can blame the coaches and especially some of the players but on paper.... the game unfolded like it was supposed to.

I think most people would of been okay with just being competitive. It was all systems failure last night and knocks us back toward the bottom tier of the SEC. All of our cupcake games where on the front end, so now we will find out what we have.

Im sure not any team plays their best game every game all year. Like others on here-can we just cover the basics? The notion that we learn from these types of games is BS. Dont spear people in the back while on the ground, catch the ball, hit WIDE open receivers etc.- we need to look like a dumpster fire in a game to know these things need to stop or improve?
I love Stoops but the inconsistency of performing just fundamental football plays just baffles me. When was the last time a team of his played a complete game? Im not talking perfect but just looked like all systems where prepared and ready to go? Last week against UF was close but before that it’s been awhile.
