Just heard from a well-connected source to the money folks who will help facilitate this next hire that the plan is to *start* with an $11M offer for 5-7 years for UConn’s Dan Hurley. A little unclear if that also applies to Billy Donovan at this time, but it gives you an idea of what they might be thinking it will take.
Hurley makes $5M at UConn, and I believe he got a large bonus for winning the championship, but that athletics program is reportedly not in a great position to push the number into the territory UK is talking.
No idea if he’s willing to move or not, per my source, but they will make it a generational wealth type of offer.
