He hasn't had anyone drafted. He's only been coaching college a few years. I got that from an analyst from 247 on Wiltfong's show. He talked like he was close to Deion and had talked to TH. Well he actually quoted TH a few times. Idk how accurate he is but I take it you've talked to him also
I have seen a recent interview TH did, or tape did today where TH wants to do what's best for him and his development this time around. If he feels Colorado is that place then he by all means needs to go there.
As far as analysis go, wilfork is pretty good at projecting where kids go. But as for determining how good a kid is, the are journalists, not athletic evaluators, a UK fan should know that better than anyone. Anyone who ever watched athletes move could tell Goodwin had a long way to go. CRod wasn't highly thought of by those same analysis, but is a beast on the field, not so much in the underwear olympics.
I don't know where hunter ends up, but words from his own mouth says he is looking for who can develope him to be his best is where he wants to go.
But who can develop him best is a silly measurement. I think ESPN did a rank of DBU over the last 20 years. Outside of like 1 school all the DBU schools were the traditional powers. Why cause they get the best recruits. It becomes a self serving prophecy. Just like what Cal says about UK basketball come here cause we will prepare you for the pros. Then 2 years later wow a top 10-20 kid is a pro player amazing.
I'm not sure how my initial post came across to you. Asked who Deion has put in the league and now that wiltfong isn't an evaluator. I don't know how either of those have anything to do with what I posted.
I looked for the video it was talking about but can't find it now. It is in the middle of one of the 247 recruiting videos. I'm not sure who the guy is but he is a heavy set black guy that acts like he is in the know. I have no clue what he knows. This guy was blowing up deion and what he was gonna do at Colorado. He said he knew for a fact and said he's talked to hunter that TH is going to Colorado. Again he may be wrong just as i said earlier. He is the one that said TH loves Deion and TH told hm that Deion was showing himexactly what he needed to be an NFL CB.
I think he could go anywhere and be a 1st rd draft pick in 2 years. Will deion help him? I have zero clue. Hope he does great where ever he goes unless he plays against UK or the Bengals. 😆
Or the best kids go to the coaches who get more kids to the NFL. Why would a talented kid choose to be developed by someone who has yet to prove he can get a kid drafted over a coach who has had multiple AAs, 15 players at his position drafted$ the last 5 years?
I don't do much on that site, but it sounds like a street agent in Atlanta that coached a 7 on 7 team and pushed them to a particular metro school. Had a son he wanted at UGA, Kirby didn't offer and he told everyone who would listed he was going to destroy UGA's recruiting. I can't think of his name, son was decent player, signed with Texas and transferred. The one I saw was TH himself, thanking Jack St and proclaiming to go where he can be developed

Chicken vs the egg to me. If any program started getting top 5 recruiting classes each year then they are going to put kids in the nfl with just competent coaching. I get if others feel differently but Alabama and Saban change coaches all the time and always put kids in the nfl. Is that cause Saban or cause they get the best players?
Saban has been a pretty awesome talent evaluator, but there has to be built in advantages at Bama because he only won 1 title at LSU and didn't even sniff the conference title at Michigan State.
At this point, his system works. His coordinators are either position coaches he's developed or rehab stints for guys who lost as HC/had untouchable issues when he brings them in.
Absolutely yes, they are bringing in the top end talent, but make no mistake about it: having a Bama offer increases your value in the services eyes.
The ratings aren't always perfect though. Post Jameis Winston, FSU had top 5-10 recruiting classes and continued to go downhill. A&M is going through the same thing with Jimbo now.
The question wasn’t college team wins though it was getting players into the NFL which A&M still does at a good rate. Elite schools indicate they have some secret sauce to get kids into the league just like Cal does in basketball. If you believe that fine. To me I see the teams that get the best high school players getting the most kids in the league and there isn’t a secret sauce outside of hey we got the best kids. If a team can convince kids of that assumption cool but if Hunter sees it differently and says Deion will best prepare me for the nfl then I see no reason to say the kid is doing it for another reason.
Jimbo has never been anything but average. At LSU his qb was an older guy, near 30, the defense was led by older guys, including a 29 year old ex prison guard. At FSU they were ready to fire him until Jamis came alone and won a championship, then after Jamis he was always threatening to leave and spent more time with support staff than the team. At ATM he has a mess he created, and brought in Bobby Petrino to help fix it? Two of the lowest character men in college football at the same place, what could go wrong?
What I don't understand is the coach saying days ago that he was going to be bringing him even before he entered the portal. How is that not a violation

Would it have to do with being his son? If he wereca high schooler you would have to throw the normal visitation rules out ghe window.
