Trajan Langdon

Actually, Trajan (whose first pro sport was actually baseball, in the Padres system!) went on to have one of the most successful careers of any american to ever play basketball in Europe. He played in Turkey, winning national titles, and then in Russia for over a decade, winning six national titles in a row but also winning multiple euro league titles, being named euroleague finals MVP, making numerous euroleague first team all star teams, and even being named to the euroleague all-decade team. After retiring he became a scout for the Spurs, and as of 2015 works in the Cavs front office. And yeah, he was really good in college... He might be the only guy to ever be named to four all-ACC teams (three first team).

Nope:) But I hadn't checked up on Trajan in a few years, and had fun looking up the info.

Little trivia: Langdon was one of the 5 lottery picks with which K failed to win the title in '99 (also lost a regular season game), showing once and for all that according to RR logic, K is a mediocre X and Os guy just like Cal.

By RR logic, a coach that's even "good", much less "great", should never have a game within 15 with that much talent, much less actually lose a game, much less lose two games and fail to take home the trophy.

More trivia - in my one and only trip to Cleveland, I was fortunate enough to watch Langdon play for the Cavs in person. Their tickets were much cheaper then.

So, for a while there he could see Russia from his house.
