Towns goaltending

Ole Miss had a tip in where the ball wasl clearly on the rim. Some calls are subjective, but that one was very clear.

His skills at it are Orton-esque. Except that I think he'll adjust and more of them will be monster blocks instead of goaltends as we go forward.

Call on Towns was borderline. That was EXTREMELY close. And, hell NO don't stop going after the ball.

As one who doesn't like to lay blame on the officiating, last nights game had some piss poor calls and non calls.

I thought it was definitely going down.

Not convinced it was going in. In fact--and I only re-watched it once, so I could be wrong--not really convinced it was going to hit the rim. Looks like the guy short-armed it.

So you are saying Dakari, late in a tie game, should have spiked that ball out to midcourt to their guards rather than tapping it to Andrew leading to 2 points for us on the other end? To intimidate them? Late in a tied game? okey dokey

He needs to learn to pick his spots. And he will. Freshmen Nerlens and Willie would bite on every pump fake and shot at the beginning of that season and they both toned it down and made better choices as the season went on.

He'll get it, and if we ever lose by 1 or 2 points, it won't be because of Karl making a mistake on one shot, though.

I love the way this team has been able to block and alter so many shots so far this season. But I think it sometimes puts us in bad position for the rebound.

Not sure how Karl's goaltend morph's into the scenario you outline. I think the aggresiveness paid off well when Kansas was afraid to shoot anywhere near the rim and that needs to be the case going forward.

Goal tending aside (it's not always easy to know when those close shots are coming down vs. on the way up)....but Karl needs to let go of spiking the ball into the stands. Block the shot and keep it in play if you can...but waling at them as hard as you can doesn't help UK. The games matter more and possessions matter more...do the right thing and just block a shot vs. hammer a shot in the stands.

The Towns goaltend was the right call though. But you can't get that right and then miss the other obvious one that went against us.

zebras CHEAT and have bias against teams.

puke is the love children of hess and ayers, and ratface is the chosen one by any and all zebras calling games in the ratbox.

To pretend zebras are not cheaters and KNOWINGLY attempt to impact games is to be naive and devoid of accepting that which one SEES in many many games all over the country.

Even the head of zebras for the pac-10 offered to PAY part of his herd to call a technical foul on sean miller, coach of arizona. A zebra accepted the challenge and called a technical on miller for no reasonable cause.

YES--zebras cheat, are biased--and many just plain THIEVE and impact games knowingly.

That was definitely a goal tend on Big KAT. It WAS on the way down, not by much, but it was.

It was definitely goaltending, it was close though. I don't mind them if the call is close but often it is not a close call at all and I wish he'd stop those.

Man, Orton was the worst at that. His wouldn't even be close and then he'd act surprised why goaltending was called. I never once missed that guy.

I know everyone loves the block that goes flying into the 3rd row but I always loved the way Davis blocked shots. He would just tap the ball away and more times than not it landed in our hands for a turnover. Seemed like he was intimidating enough for college bball
