That's nuts.

BTW, is Booker dinged up? He's had 3 DNPs in the last 13 games, including 2 since the 70 pt game. But, he's also had 3 game with 30 or more since the 70 pt game too, so....

the way KAT has improved is pretty insane. Booker hitting 20+ is crazy.

One day there will be a 30 for 30 on that team with the amount of NBA players, and how they almost went 40-0. F#%# Wisconsin. Not just the amount of NBA guys, but Towns and Booker are gonna be All-Stars. Towns, like another person said, will be an NBA great.

let's just hope that we do go to 40 - 0 and that we don't have almost 40 - 0 30 and 30.

I knew Towns and Booker were going to be good NBA players but I don't think any of us thought they would be performing at this level this soon.
With the success UK players are having you would think UK could just select the high school players they want.

I agree about Booker, but Towns was always the real deal.

Very cool and interesting thread. I am absolutely stunned at Booker's emergence. I thought James Young would be a better pro than Booker (I know, I know) to be honest. I knew he could shoot but didn't realize he could score like that. I mean, 70? 70??

What does he average next year? 26 or more?

And each of them (Booker and KAT) got to play less than 22 minutes per game for U.K. They were 6th and 7th, respectively, in minutes-per-game for the 'Cats in 2015. Go figure.

Aaron and Andrew were 2nd and 3rd in MPG at 25.8 and 25.5, respectively. Calipari gave both of them more PT than they deserved, trying to help their NBA careers, and it didn't help them one bit.

On paper that was one of the lowest overall ranked classes we've had under Calipari. Turns out it is probably the best with only Lyles not making a significant impact in the NBA. Think about how good Ulis, Booker and Townes are playing right now. Definitely the highest Bball IQ of any class we've had.

KAT was a great player and was always going to be very good but I don't think ANYONE had him pegged as being one of the 5 best big men in the world by his 2nd year in the league and putting up numbers like this. Coming in, I knew he was tall, long and could shoot but his athleticism and aggressiveness inside always left me wondering how long it would take to develop. Cal did it perfectly and forced him into the paint where he became one of the most unstoppable post presences the NCAA had seen in years. I almost forgot how good his jumpshot was until he got going in the NBA. KAT went from being a 3 point shooting 7 footer to an unstoppable all around force who can also gobble up 15 rebounds a game. He's far exceeded what I thought he'd be and I thought he'd be REALLY good. He's on the fast track to being all-time-great good.

When it's all said and done, KAT will end up being the best player of the bunch barring significant injury. He might end up being the best UK player ever in the NBA.
