Good article from ESPN today about toughest non conference schedules in 2016. Not sure I agree these are the toughest ten non conference schedules but a couple of these look brutal.
1. USC: Alabama (in Dallas), Utah State, Notre Dame (win 2 out 3 and stay in the national title race)
2. Oklahoma: at Houston, LA Monroe, Ohio State
3. FLA ST: Charleston Southern, at South Florida, Florida (FLA is tough, not so sure about the others)
4. VaTech: Tennessee (Bristol, TN), East Carolina, at Notre Dame - I would probably rank this 1st
5. Pittsburgh: Penn State, at OK St, Marshall
6. Duke: at Northwestern, at Notre Dame, Army
7. UCLA: at TXAM, UNLV, at BYU
8. Stanford: KState, at Notre Dame, Rice
9. Michigan State: Furman, at Notre Dame, BYU
10. Colorado: Colorado State (Denver), Idaho State, at Michigan
This is a pretty good top 10 and I am sure others could be added. I know would argue Georgia, BYU, and Notre Dame could easily have tougher non conference and overall schedules than some of these schools.
