Thank you for providing the link, but how accurate is that list? People are not sharing their numbers with anyone, intentionally in fact. I just don't see Yaxel turning down guaranteed money for less than 2.5 million per year.

I have no idea but the numbers seem more in line with reality.
As far as the writers credibility, who knows but he does do this for a living so maybe his source is solid.

Could be solid, but with rumors that Oweh came back for between $3 and 3.5 million, either we're full of it or this dude is. I'm not sure which is which, tbh, but I have a hard time believing that a SEC POY and AA candidate isn't on this list after what he did last season.

I’ve mentioned this before but there are incentives in these deals. For a guy like Oweh maybe he becomes top 5 if we win a title. No one knows how these contracts are drawn up. So when the reports of all this big money came in. Haggerty at 4 m for instance or 2 mil for Aberdeen it’s that probably includes incentives for hitting goals. That’s what I believe is the discrepancy in the numbers between then and now. Many players have been rumored to have ridiculous offers only to find out it’s not close to true.

No one, including this writer, knows definitively who is getting paid how much. Schools don’t disclose it, kids don’t disclose it, agents may leak some figures but those would be embellished and over-inflated to serve their own value to potential clients. Just a guess in a thirsty time of the year to get clicks and in this case for some of yall it worked.
