Too many lulls in the schedule this month

Anyone notice we only have 4 more games this month? 1 per week after tonight. Don't know about you guys, but that's a lot of basketball withdrawals in over the next few weeks....ughhh

Really though, this came at a good time. We play @UCLA today, then get EKU. After that, Kentucky will get Arizona State, Ohio State, and Louisville consecutively. 4 power 5 programs in a row, I'll take the week of practice. Should give our players some fresh legs to run with too. I can't complain.

Plus, we're integrating a new player into the system with Wynyard this month. Gives the staff more time to learn about how he plays and how he should be used.

I assume finals is Dec. 14-18 since no game that week. Then after 19th a few days off to go home before the game against whoreU.

December has always been slow because of finals and the needed practice time before conference play begins. As far back as I can remember.

Yea maybe so- just don't remember this few of games. The extra practice time will be nothing but advantageous as well. I just like watching these guys play too much I guess lol

LOL as someone else said it has been this way for at least 15 years if not more. We usually play 1 game a week ( usually on Saturdays from around dec 10th to around Jan 5th.

I'm glad Cal gives the kids some time off during the holidays. Many of those kids are away from home the first extended times in their lives. And many came to campus in the summer.

This is basically the same as every year Cal has been here, except this year we play KU at the end of January. Usually UK has played 6 games, sometimes 7, OOC in December with Cal here. We play 5 this year, but KU would be the normal 6th game in December.

Players do actually have to attend classes (except at UNC) and take finals, and players do need at least a little vacation time.
