Too bad not much chance to move up this week and next. Teams ahead of us just don’t have very difficult games. Would love to surpass the highest ranking we’ve had in my lifetime (#8 in 2007). Beat Ole Miss in 2 weeks and maybe we will.

If we take care of business all season we will be in the FF guaranteed and maybe even at 11-1 if our only L is to Kirby Dumb’s team.

Fresno State might challenge #8 USC tonight . Will be high scoring game and last team with the ball could be winner
Yeah I'm trying to stay up for it. Figured that be the time I finally hit the recliner and watch one. Maybe check out they Sundevils later the start at 10.

I want to try to watch too but not sure these Old Bones make it to halftime

How legit is #5 Clemson this year? They play at too 20 Wake Forest next week. And that might be the best chance for a team ahead of us to get upset.

Would the committee put us Top 4 if we do not win our own division?

I have my doubts.
If Georgia is undefeated and #1 and say wins the SEC Champ game, depending on the landscape, I think we would have an excellent chance at that #4 slot.

It helps solidify our ranking when teams ranked closely behind us lose too though. Like Miami , Brigham Young ,and Arkansas.

The schedule week 5 is stacked. Lots of good games and opportunities for the Cats to climb if we beat Ole Miss.

The first CFP ranking comes out Nov. 1 this year. Can you imagine the excitement if we still top 10?!!

Not a chance in hell. If we lose to UGA we will drop to #10 or something to be safe from being in the playoffs in case some weird stuff happens in conf championship games.

If our only loss is a close one to undefeated Georgia? Maybe, but it would be hard to have 3 of 4 from the SEC so we would need Alabama to lose a game or two.

Washington just upset Michigan state. Aren't they ahead of us? Maybe I read the rankings wrong...

We’d need a lot to happen for sure because we probably wouldn’t have any wins over a Top 10 team that you would need as a non-division winner. I was hoping Georgia might take at least a tiny step backward this year but I’m not seeing any sign of that so far.

I was thinking we took enough of a step up and that they'd stay the same, but they look better to me than last year so far. Hard to tell just yet

Especially if Bama does well. No way they put UK, Georgia, and Bama in. The fans of other schools would have a shit fit.
I guess my question should have included a one or two loss West team losing to Georgia.

An 11-1 SEC East team losing only to UGA might sneak in, but a ton of ish would have to align.

I don't know if this is a truly top 10 team yet. That little team was in our back field getting our running backs. 2 INTs. You have to ask yourself if other top 10 teams played Youngstown state they would look better. Plus I guess the UF win last week isn't that great. I think we little bit overrated. But we'll see soon.
