I'll say this - Louisville is way better than their roster looks. I saw that your two best players were mid major transfers and wrote them off pretty quickly. I was wrong. Rick knows what he's doing.
But - your game with Michigan State, as a game between two teams that are clearly top 10 this year, was weak and unimpressive. If you watch KU and Mich St from the champ classic, MSU looked awful for the first 3/4. We've won every game by double digits but anybody who knows basketball can see that we are flawed. UNC lost to a mid major. Maryland has almost lost to multiple.
Yes, it is unequivocally a down year. If you think that any of these teams could last 40 minutes without getting embarassed by '15 UK, Duke, or Virginia with healthy Justin Anderson (or probably Wisconsin or Arizona), you need to back away from the basketball commentary and reevaluate everything.
Louisville is a top 10 team. MSU is a top 10 team. Kentucky is a top 10 team, sure. But the top 10 this year is not nearly as strong as it was last year - and no, the "early season" excuse doesn't close the gap. Last season, UK and Duke and Virginia were beating the bejeezis out of everybody at this point, ranked, unranked, didn't matter.
