I'm a season ticket holder, to the best of my recollection we had two "prime" games in our season ticket package where the face values were the highest ($90 each) - UofL and Ariz St. Typically tickets for Saturday games are much more in demand than weeknight games, even when it involves mediocre opponents. However, I just looked on StubHub and saw prices for today's game starting at about $35 ea before fees, even after fees this is only about half face value. Some people are really taking it in the shorts on this one.

Maybe not but they are one of the best 3 or 4 teams were playin in this upcoming stretch.
I'm thinking 38-0 and then losing took a lot out of fans sails. I know it did for me.
I'm still watching the games but my heart isn't quite pounding like it did last year.
Couple that with the fact that NOBODY cares about ASU basketball.
Add in that the team has been sort of ho-hum at home this year and seem to play at their competitions level.
Just 3 possibilities.

1) ASU is not a rival. The big screen HD effect plus a who cares opponent. When the best you can come up with is "We hated the coach when he played 25 years ago".
2) UK fans have figured out the reality of OAD. This team has a ways to go right now. They may get there by the end of the season or they may not. But no matter, the best players on the team will move on and not play their best basketball until a few years later when they are not playing college ball.
3) The real season will begin 2nd week in February.
4) Rupp is such a horrible venue to watch a game for at least 60% of the seats.

My brother has lower arena season tickets and he calls me quite often wanting to know if I want to go to games with him. He only asks me the face value of whatever he paid for that particular game. But I rarely go with him. 180 mile round trip usually decides for me when I can watch it on my 60 inch HD Smart TV sitting in a recliner in the comfort of my home, and be in bed asleep before he even arrives back home.
