Why didn’t Stoops use our timeouts early on the last drive Tenn had? He waited until less than two minutes to call the first one. 🤬🤬🤬

And I would have to go back and double check but it seemed like the two he used, the clock had stopped anyways because player had went out of bounds? I could be wrong but did anyone else see!

Clock doesn’t stop like it used to after the player goes out of bounds. It restarts when the official gives the ready to play signal, until it’s under 2:00 to play.

He took all 3 timeouts within the last two minutes. The one that killed us was when the UT player went out of bounds with exactly 2 minutes to go, so, 1 second away from it not starting until the next snap. He had to take a timeout there.

If we would have stopped then on 3rd and 7, we would have potentially gotten the ball back with about 1:35 to go.

I was screaming at him to take a timeout, but it made sense with the new rules.
