That #2 dunk against UC is one of my all time favorite dunks by one of my favorite UK players!!!!

My favorite is #4. Where that pass was. How high it was. WCS really had to stretch to get that one. The ball was at the edge of the backboard and as high as the square when he caught it. He also didn't get a full sprint either. Just WoW!!!

I loved WCS. But he really wasn't that great of a rebounder, good but not great.
His per-30-min rebounding stats by year were:
7.9, 7.7, 7.4 - but he was often on the court with other good rebounders (Noel, Randle, Towns), so he was better than those #'s indicate

In comparison, other UK Cal-era bigs were:

I was there for #3 and #2.

#3 might be my favorite one. My dad and I got tix for that game because that was the night they put my favorite player in the rafters, Mr. Tony Delk. Rupp went off for that play.

I love how he could defend all positions. And also how he decided to dunk on Florida (?) after people kept asking him in post game interviews why he wasn't more aggressive or something to that effect 😄

Willie was a beast when he was mentally engaged, but at times he was like a kid playing in the outfield at a T-Ball game, chasing butterflies or picking up grasshoppers. He should've have a much better NBA career. 😕

Man those were the days! Love how there is a 1 beside Kentucky in all of these highlights. We were the absolute pinnacle of college basketball.
