#1 Patrick Towles. Nothing else needs to be said.

#2 Coaches decision to run the ball 5 straight times during our 1st and goal from inside the 5.

#3 Florida's defensive line absolutely made our guys look pathetic most of the night, but it didn't help that Patrick was making horrible decisions.

I hate moral victories and I don't believe tonight was even close to one. This was a horrible offensive Gators team and we let Grier run on us like Michael Vick. Didn't wrap up and tackle and had costly penalties. With all of that said...we lost by five. It the first half Gamecock game offense shows up we win, but ONCE AGAIN we shit the bed against UF. Starting to believe we will never beat them.

Ohh well. On to Mizzo who put up a whopping 9 points against UConn today.

Interesting to see if changes are made, I assume not but this quarterback play makes me wish we had Maxwell Smith back
Changes won't be made for the fact that we only lost by 5. Patrick has SEC wins and Barker has zero snaps. You cannot honestly replace Towles unless he absolutely implodes.

1. By far...our offensive tackles really struggled tonight vs. some great UF DE. This was far and away the biggest position we constantly lost this battle throughout the game.
2. As the game wore on...Towles inability make throws/plays vs. UF QB who was the best player for UF's TD scores.

That was it to me. I could argue I wish Dawson left a RB to help the tackles at times in passing game from a strategy standpoint...but that is about it. We have to get way better on OLine...that group, to me, will struggle vs. good SEC front 7 units.

So, should we assume a similar type game next week against Missouri? I know their O is not much (but stud RB was out today), but their D is usually stout, especially on D-Line.

I don't know where to put the blame but, I remember times when if the other team didn't score 35+ they would not win. IMO if we don't score at least in the upper 20's we won't win many SEC games.

-all begins with oline play. Baffled as to why conrad/taco meat didn't get more run in thw backfield.

'Give barker a shot...but if blocking doesnt improve nothing will change.

I agree with this. The sad thing is, we could have won tonight with 15 freaking points. That is what really hurts for UK football fans.

-pt needs to get better. That said Johnson had a td pass drop though his hands. Baker drop was a killer.

-although UK is definitely getting better...margain for error is thin. Cant leave 14 on the field against a defense like FLa.

If this isn't it then define implodes for me. Not only have we gone 6 quarters without a TD now but other than the 1st and goal we haven't even come close to scoring in the past 6 quarters.

not giving Barker a drive is pathetic. You bet your ass that Ohio State, Alabama, ... and every other big time team with a winning coach will try a different QB for at least a drive if the starter isn't doing well.

So its obvious that Towles has no competition for QB in the eyes of Stoops and how is Towles ever going to get better unless someone is pushing him to get better?

This is true for OSU and Alabama, but OSU's backup is a freaking guy who was a Heisman candidate last year. Alabama's starter is some guy who did not play a lot last year, so not a shocker they put in Bateman some (who did not do well either I might add). I am fine with giving Barker a shot though.
