Baker again showed why he can be great this week, even getting some indirect props from the HBC it sounds like. I love his ability to make tough catches, fight for yards after the catch and his intense blocking, but I'm also a little concerned about how reckless he seems with the ball during some of those runs. The man is bigger and strong than any DB he lines up against but I still worry the he is going to get the ball knocked out of there running and holding it one-handed like that. I also like the attitude and toughness he brings but it also leaves me worrying the he might be toeing the line a bit when it comes to potentially drawing flags from some of the trash talking and confrontation incidents.

All that coupled with the one big drop to start the game leaves me with a mixed bag of impressions. Love the player and attitude but also hope that he can reign in some of his recklessness and mental lapses so that they don't end up costing us.

This kid is the real deal. Yes, he dropped one but caught everything after that and made some great blocks in the running game. He is a beast!!!

He reminds me of watching a young Michael Irvin. I'm not predicting the HOF for Dorian, but the kid is about all you can ask for - big, strong, fast, physical. He already bullies DB's as a sophomore. Surprisingly, he's bigger and at least as fast as Irvin. The kids potential is only going to be set by himself.

He needs to watch his temper! He is going to get flagged or ejected if he is not careful. The coaches better harness that before it becomes a problem!

If I'm not mistsken, he was the one that got hit with unsportsmanlike conduct when they called a Double flag.

I'm fine with that though. If thata how he stays motivated throughout the game then so be it.. just hopefully he doesn't cross the line and have to sit out or cost us at a really big moment

Respect your point of view. As fans of a school with a long and prosperous basketball tradition, sometimes we focus too much on individual players. The improvement in the whole team gets us to a bowl. Dorian Baker is a helluva young receiver, but the overall improvement in our receivers as a group is the most remarkable thing about our team at this point in September. Last year, our receivers were an obvious team weakness. This year, an obvious team strength. They have come a long way. We have big, physical receivers like Baker and Bone. We have burners like Badet and Juice. Timmons has improved as much as any of them, and he isn't even starting. Walker has been a lot better than I expected. Once Snodgrass, Herrick, and Montgomery get involved, this is an embarrassment of riches. Not to mention the tight ends.

Dorian is a stud. No argument about it. Not just catching the ball but everything he does. He is the most intimidating WR I have ever seen when it comes to blocking. The initial instinct you have is to say that comparisons to Terrel Owens or Michael Irvin are ridiculous but I'm not sure I can say he won't turn out to be as good as those guys. I also love the way he plays with an attitude. That's something this team really needs.

Love what Baker gives us...he's a physical specimen and a real weapon. The drop to start the game really cost us, but nobody's perfect...even Cobb had a few drops during his time here.

Baker and Juice are tough to get on the ground...love the way they fight for extra yardage and refuse to go down. They do need to learn to put the ball away with 2 arms once their forward progress has been stopped and they're carrying a pile of guys, but that will come in time.
