Through yesterday (12-28) ACC led 9 -8 versus the SEC and they need to thank Georgia Tech and Miami for that edge as they have won 4 outta 5 from the SEC. Not exactly basketball powerhouses. UK is undefeated against both Duke and Louisville. If you think the SEC stinks in basketball the ACC has a bad smell as well.

Don't read too much into that..........the top teams just don't schedule so much against other top teams.....i.e. UL has played only 2 decent teams.....they still think they won both.
The SEC is not so bad, the SEC middle to bottom stacks up fairly well with mid to bottom with most conferences.

Actually the ACC only has 3 real legit teams that are NCAA threats. UNC, Virginia, and Duke. The other 11 or 12 are somewhat average or below average.

That bad smell is perfume to Dick Vitale.

How many does the SEC have then? And you can't really include UK who almost lost at home to a somewhat average UL team can u or can we change the rules to forgive us that game due to no Briscoe?

In the last 20 yrs or so and until the ACC added ND/Syr/UL, the SEC and ACC have been very similar. The one thing they have is two all-time top 5 teams, and the SEC only has one. But they have Duke, UNC, and Maryland winning titles, and the SEC has had UK, UF and Arkansas. The rest of the field in both conferences have been pretty similar too.

Oh I know. The SEC has been comparable to everyone in titles and Final Fours the past 20+ years. I don't see any other SEC teams winning national titles in the next 10 years though (outside of UK of course!!!)
