This will be Cal most versatile team he has had at Kentucky

Mutiple players who can play different positions.Knox, Vanderbilt,Washington
Diallo.Alexander, can play 2 to 3 different positions.
its kind of crazy cause richards the only player who is strictly a 5...wynyard jones can play 4 to 5...i heard pj can play 345...knox 1234....diallo 123...green 12...vando 1234..shai 123...mann

I agree. A very versatile group. Lots of different line-ups that can be used.

This is what excites me most about this team. The type of players who can score 5 pts and still have great games are the type of kids Cal excels with. This roster is loaded with versatility.

This is probably the closest to "positionless basketball" Cal has ever gotten. There will be a defined PG role and defined C role, but all players (except maybe Richards) can slide to a different role. Throw out the terms SG, SF and PF. They don't mean anything for this team. It's PG, C, and three dudes in any combination.

that's why all threads regarding likely starting lineup are worthless with this group. Cal will probably have 12 different starting lineup combos this year based on matchups and who's killing it in practice that week

I am not sure I completely agree with the OP. This team lacks a post player who can play with his back to the basket and continuously roam the paint with big man post moves. The team is going to be good in transition, but is likely to be very streaky from the perimeter, which may allow teams to crowd the paint and could limit this team's ability at second chance points. The Anthony Davis team and the Karl Towns team were more versatile, in my opinion, with regard to style of play; although, I am not sure Cal took full advantage of that fact with the Towns team.
