Wow...where to start...
See here's my thing with Florida, I don't think they are as good as they looked, just like I didn't think Ole Miss was as good as the Bama win made them look. It's all matchups, Bama still can't defend the perimeter and a team with a good QB and WR. They are built to stop the run...which is why Georgia disn't stand a chance and Ole Miss gave them fits. Bama also has no pass rush. Florida matched up perfect with Ole miss... probably the best secondary in the nation and an excellent pass rush and McElwain attacked that defense the best way, quick passes, misdirection and attacking the flats. Ole Miss' secondary is weak (see TCU game)... it's not a matter of these teams being that good, it's purely matchups. Bama killed UGA. And could go into Kyle Field and get run by aTm. aTm plays offense that is bad for Bama. I honestly think that this is the year for Baylor. Also, it's gonna be the team that could throw a wrench in all of this is Clemson. Clemson should win out. Let's say ur SEC champ has 2 losses (which I think is very likely) - say aTm, then say OSU beats Mich St, loses to Michigan but wins Big 10. Say MSU only loss is OSU. Let's say Baylor runs the table, beats TCU on a FG at the end and that's TCU'S only loss and let's say USC wins Pac-12 with 2 losses....you'd have this:
Baylor- Undefeated
USC- 2 loss pac-12 champ
aTm- 2 loss SEC champ
OSU- 1 loss Big 10 Champ
MSU- 1 loss
Say Notre Dame with 1 loss
Clemson- Undefeated winner of horrible ACC
What four u take? Do you penalize the Pac-12 south and SEC West for their conference strength? Do u leave an undefeated albeit weak ACC champ out? Who do u take and how do you justify it? The task of picking 4 for the committee this year is going to be extremely tough.
