Should have given Hoak some live action last yesr, especially, when Steve was hurt. Just a few series. Now we pay the price, no QB Experience. I am not against Terry, hope he can pass better, in the future. Hoak is as of now is the best pure passer. He showed class in his touchdown drive. Started 2nd half, both posessions, bsd field position. Thought it was good to put Terry in on 3rd series. Now to win, we must pass. So who is the best potential passer???

The only reason he didn’t, in my opinion, is because the coaching staff doesn’t believe in him. I’m not entirely sure they still do. Over the past six seasons, it seems like guys esp the QB position can get pigeonholed into who is a starter and who isn’t. SJ had huge physical limitiations and was never going to be more than probably a trick play type guy if Barker doesn’t break his back. Desperation brought him in and overall as a QB, he was better even with the physical limitations. Stoops went all in on Mac Jones, then Williams, then Wilson.

He never expected Hoak to be a player so last season when he had the chance, he didn’t get any run. Now, I’m not saying either QB wowed me or even if getting Hoak PT last year would of made any difference but the handling of the situation you’re talking about is one of the many reasons in year 6 Stoops just drives me bonkers. His tunnel vision and stubbornness has cost these UK teams wins and it boggles my mind he hasn’t learned to be 3 steps ahead in every aspect of the game. That’s rookie coach mistakes and he’s still making it.

I've never coached any sport at any level but if its me, I'm getting my future QBs some reps in live games whenever possible. To have three guys with 0 experience is a tough pill to swallow.
