Here is a statement posted from another publication's morning after analysis of the game last night. Many of us questioned this concerning the loss to Vanderbilt. THE OC even made the statement, pre-season, about this exact scenario and the reporters and fans had a wonderful belly laugh about it then.
2) Jojo Kemp’s second touchdown, an 18-yard sprint to paydirt, came compliments of the lead blocking of Jacob Hyde, a defensive lineman inserted to plow the road. He absolutely crushed an unsuspecting Charlotte defender. Best of all, Hyde sprinted off the field with the biggest smile of the night. But on a downside, where has Hyde been all year? Coaches experimented with using Hyde in situations during fall camp, but then never pulled the trigger until Saturday. Kentucky wins the Vanderbilt game if Hyde is in during the stalled goal-line series inside the Vandy 5.
The reason why we may not go bowling and the reason why we need to consider a coaching change before next season. Changing OC's for three straight years is questioned - however, does it REALLY matter. Just look at Oklahoma - Bob Stoops was on the hot seat and was getting testy after last year's disaster of a year. He brings in new OC and Oklahoma has a chance to play for a National Championship this year! Having the correct OC is VERY important!
