This is an interesting mock draft

Gotta wait and see how all our guys test and measure at the combine. The rest sorts itself out.

I don't know how accurate that mock is. Naz Reid at 39? He's probably a lottery pick isn't he? If I had to guess pj probably goes between 20-25. Should be a pretty good career back up like Patterson.

I'm sure you can find a mock draft to feed any narrative you want. Not saying you are doing that, just that there are tons out there an vary wildly in their opinions.

Patterson is a good comp for PJ

No way Pj goes in the second round. Herro at 11 seems high, but if that’s where they think can’t blame him for leaving at all.

All listed from the link:

11
T-Wolves Tyler Herro SG - HT: 6-6 - WT: 210 - WING: 6-10 - FROM: Kentucky - Fr.
A natural born shooter who puts constant pressure on the defense with his scoring ability and crafty play. Has a nose for the bucket and plays with intensity.
"Rex Chapman"

17
Pistons Keldon Johnson SG - HT: 6-6 - WT: 211 - WING: 6-8 3/4 - FROM: Kentucky - Fr.
Keldon has ideal size, a sweet jumper and a scorers mentality. His size for position and ability to impact on the glass gives him added value.
"Xavier Henry's upside"

38 Mavs P.J. Washington PF - HT: 6-8 - WT: 235 -WING: 7-3 - FROM: Kentucky - So.
Well built with a strong body and good length. Plays an all around game but lacks a true position, as he's a bit undersized for the 4 and lacks ideal SF skill set.
"David West"

o_O Weird.

PJ will be Fringe lottery, unless the blow the combine up Herro and KJ will be low 20’s to high teens with good interview and stuff. I’d imagine Herro and KJ should seriously consider returning. They could put in AA type seasons and probably be lotto next year.

I think this draft will be more interesting than most, and harder to guess what happens. There are so many underclassmen in this draft, with less Europeans than average. A lot of these are pretty close talent-wise, and I think you won't be able to find out until after the combine.

Is there a greater chance Washington comes back than Herro? I am not sure Washington would go this low nor Herro and Johnson this high. Hagans has fallen out of several of these list. This is one of about 30 mock drafts floating around. I just always enjoy looking at them.

There is almost a 0% chance PJ comes back. (I would say 0% chance, but as a statistician, I can't say anything has a 0% chance).
Why?
PJ can't do anything more to raise his draft stock. Actually it would probably go down, because the NBA will say they love older players, but their draft history shows that JRs & SRs get drafted lower than had those players left a year or two earlier (unless there was a substantial improvement in skills).

I think if Herro or Johnson returned, either could easily move into the top 10, maybe top 6 next year. Now is moving from 11 to 8 worth staying? Probably not. But moving from 18 to 8, may be worth it.

PJ is gone no matter what.

Here is my guess on what’s going to happen.

PJ....goes and just sneaks into the first round.

Herro....goes and falls to very early 2nd round.

Keldon...goes and gets picked around 23 or so.

Hagans..thinks about going, but has no choice but to come back.

Nick...decides to play overseas. This is a tough one because he has a girlfriend at UK.
Unless they break up, he could be persuaded to stay.

Baker...decides to transfer.

EJ...decides to comeback.
