Thinking of going to the Vandy game on 9/23. What is the parking situation there ?

It's been a lot of years since I went to a game there but I recall they have a huge field like a park next to the stadium where everyone parks. So parking isn't a problem

Should I call the UK ticket office. We want to sit in the UK section. I have never been to an away game.

Routinely, just about anywhere in the stadium is the visitor's section. Since they won last year it might be a little different this year.
Don't park in a business lot and be careful parking on certain streets. I got towed one year for parking in the wrong place. Had to be driven across town and come up with over $100 in cash. There many like me. There is a large parking garage near the hospital that was charging $5.00 a few years ago. Beats getting towed.

The one time I went I stayed at Holiday Inn express(I think) right across the street from the stadium. Bought game tickets off a scalper, 50 yard line, right behind our bench about 6 rows up for something like $30 ea!

Fwiw, vandy is running into some problems during their renovation and they will be hosting hawaii in one of the first games of the year….at a high school stadium…so maybe just check that the stadium is finished before the Kentucky game.

Thanks I will

I go every time we play there. Parking is horrible, if you dont mind walking a bit , park in Centinneal Park right across street from stadium. its free. As for where to sit UK almost always brings a bigger crowd than the commodedoors. Avoid section N,Mand O usually hard core Vandy guys, pretty where every whete else will have lots of UK fans

Vandy is a high school level team so that makes sense.

There are two nearby parking garages: one next to Memorial Gymnasium and one next to their tennis facility. As far as their stadium being ready, their playing surface is finished but both ends of the stadium are still under construction.

Every section will be the UK section. UK fans will make up at least half the crowd (and probably more). There isn't a bad seat in the house and there's zero chance you'll have a seat without at least some blue around you.

I’ve done most road venues.

Vandy is the most chill place I’ve visited. I’ve never even made parking plans: just go and there should be free street parking within 3/5 blocks of the stadium.

Tickets are everywhere. Western Kentucky makes this it’s Home Game. If you have friends from E Town or farther West, you might run into them.

About the only place I’ve visited as easy as Nashville is Columbia, Missouri.

The only difficulty I’ve had with Vandy fans is figuring out who they are. Most wear neutral colors, and frequently the kids/students selling programs are Kentucky kids wearing their Blue.

Seriously, going to a Vandy game is kind of like going to a game at Centre College. I put more effort into planning the crush in Lexington, than I do the picnic in Nashville.

Check out the J. Alexander’s restaurant right next to the stadium. A nice venue, maybe a tad cheaper than Malone’s. Two years ago, I realized given the proximity, the restaurant likely has some NIL deals going with Vandy athletes.

I stop by there maybe once a year during off-season, and there’s usually a table or two full of guys that look like college linemen and receivers, etc. And there are lots of female athletes that frequent the joint.

Have never been to a Vandy game but always read that you should bring your own seat cushion for the Cold (?Hot) concrete benches. Might want to confirm that info.

Anyone want to take a WAG on kickoff time?
Lot of out of conference games that Sat.
I'd say UK/Vandy will be #4/#5 in TV pecking order on 9/23.
Don't know if ESPN would prefer the Dawgs vs UAB over our game or not.
