I’ve done most road venues.
Vandy is the most chill place I’ve visited. I’ve never even made parking plans: just go and there should be free street parking within 3/5 blocks of the stadium.
Tickets are everywhere. Western Kentucky makes this it’s Home Game. If you have friends from E Town or farther West, you might run into them.
About the only place I’ve visited as easy as Nashville is Columbia, Missouri.
The only difficulty I’ve had with Vandy fans is figuring out who they are. Most wear neutral colors, and frequently the kids/students selling programs are Kentucky kids wearing their Blue.
Seriously, going to a Vandy game is kind of like going to a game at Centre College. I put more effort into planning the crush in Lexington, than I do the picnic in Nashville.
Check out the J. Alexander’s restaurant right next to the stadium. A nice venue,
maybe a tad cheaper than Malone’s. Two years ago, I realized given the proximity, the restaurant likely has some NIL deals going with Vandy athletes.
I stop by there maybe once a year during off-season, and there’s usually a table or two full of guys that look like college linemen and receivers, etc. And there are lots of female athletes that frequent the joint.
