here is the breakdown of how each of the seeds have fared:

#1 seed has won 22 titles
#2 seed has won 5 titles
#3 seed has won 5 titles

then we really fall off....

#4 seeds have won 1 title
#5 seeds have won 0 titles
#6 seeds have won 2 titles
#7 seeds have won 1 title
#8 seeds have won 1 title

that's it....

so... when I read about all this gloom and doom over only being ranked in the top 10 next year and moaning about it... I will remember that a top 10 or 12 ranking should get us a 2 or a 3 seed... and really... from looking at the history of the tournament, it will not matter which one we get, as there have been just as many #3 seeded Champions as #2 seeded champs.

As long as we are ranked in the top 10 or 12... we will be fine, anything lower and history says "uh oh"

Interesting that the 5 seeds are always coming up with early upsets, but they've never won it all, whereas the 6, 7, and 8 seeds have.

All the 4-16s are only 5 titles...

Luck doesnt get it done with 6 games to win..

No, luck can get you one game, maybe two. It takes talent to get that far and then you have to close the door against other talented teams, and luck comes back.
