Say this team craps the bed the rest of the year and gives up, doesn't make a bowl which I think is highly possible. Does that put Stoops on the hot seat?
Yes I think would. Under a worst case 5-7 scenario, Stoops has earned the right to be given the chance to fix the problem.Say this team craps the bed the rest of the year and gives up, doesn't make a bowl which I think is highly possible. Does that put Stoops on the hot seat?
Total BS question imo. I get that things have been ugly for the most part over the last month. I see no benefit in taking your thinking in that direction over something that most likely never happens however. I think the thought of Stoops being on the hot seat is utterly absurd and laughable.Say this team craps the bed the rest of the year and gives up, doesn't make a bowl which I think is highly possible. How different might it look if Cohen were still here? The O Line issues have been very difficult to work around for sure. This is not just a matter of Coach Stoops choosing not to score points. I'm sure he would love to score more but some personnel and staff turnover are really holding us back right now.He basically has a lifetime contract with how big the buyout is and all the incentives for just winning 7 games.
He's not going anywhere. I just hope he FINALLY realizes what Saban and Smart did a few years ago, that your offense HAS TO SCORE to win big games!!!
His brother figured that out at Oklahoma from the get go. Why has it been SOOOOO HARD for little brother????
No, he shouldn’t be near the hot seat with what he has done hereSay this team craps the bed the rest of the year and gives up, doesn't make a bowl which I think is highly possible. Does that put Stoops on the hot seat?
Not when he just fielded the best team he's had since he's been here, based on what he said pre-season.Say this team craps the bed the rest of the year and gives up, doesn't make a bowl which I think is highly possible. Does that put Stoops on the hot seat?
That's why he MUST be EXTREMELY careful on who he hires as the coordinator and O-Line coach. i was REALLY encouraged by what we saw in Coen last season. But Scangerello is NOT Coen!!!! He runs an ANTIQUATED style that relies on strength up front with the QB in a short drop. Running Screen plays instead of allowing Will to MOVE around outside of the pocket with our O-Line discrepancies is beyond ridiculous. How different might it look if Cohen were still here? You calling him a loser is very stupid on your part. You do realize he has won here at a better clip than anyone short of Bryant? Staff changes are never an exact science. That is why stability and continuity can be such an advantage. Cohen left by his own choice. Skank is in his first year. It really makes sense to see how things work out going forward before commencing the bitch fest. I get that an outing like this incites rage but burning everything down and starting over seems like a dumb idea to me. Stoops has proven capable of righting these issues numerous times in his tenure..That's why he MUST be EXTREMELY careful on who he hires as the coordinator and O-Line coach. i was REALLY encouraged by what we saw in Coen last season. Stoops seems to INTENTIONALLY look for OC's that will play an "eat up the TOP" offense. it's a LOSER!! Watching UT last night move the ball at will against our pretty good defense as well as what they did to Bama, should be an EYE OPENER for our HC.
Scangerello has a future NFL QB, Great WR's and a RB that will go down as top 3 in UK history, yet we score 6 pts against a defense that was ranked 130 out of 131 in pass defense before last night. You calling him a loser is very stupid on your part. First you need Alabama and Georgia talent which renders the whole premise unreasonable. Are you certain if we had just slung it downfield all night it would have worked out better. Levis would have probably been out by about the 8th sack. I thought skank called a horrible game but to trash everything about Stoops over it is ridiculous.Scangerello has a future NFL QB, Great WR's and a RB that will go down as top 3 in UK history, yet we score 6 pts against a defense that was ranked 130 out of 131 in pass defense before last night.
Next year will be EXTREMELY different in terms of personnel. I didn't say coach Stoops was a "loser", but the style of offense we saw last night is MOST DEFINITELY a LOSER when we play the very best teams. Stoops wants a ball control offense that limits the number of plays the opponent can run. If you do that, you have GOT TO score on nearly EVERY possession to win against the upper echelon in the SEC.
If Nick Saban and Kirby Smart realize this, Mark Stoops has to also or UK will NEVER reach the top of the SEC where I want us to go, hopefully you do too.
Exactly said this in the game thread last night!Hot seat equation: FANS IN THE STANDS
