Malcolm Davidson: Kissimmee, Fla., running back told TarHeelIllustrated.com here on the Rivals.com network that Kentucky, North Carolina, NC State and Virginia Tech are the four schools he is highest on. At the beginning of April he told me that he hadn't been in too much contact with Kentucky for a while, though they had offered, but on Monday night Davidson told me that Darin Hinshaw has visited his school and it seems like there has been an uptick in interest. Davidson went on to tell me that he thinks Hinshaw is a cool, honest coach and that's a big reason for his interest.

Camron Davis: Kentucky offered the Miami running back commitment this week and he confirmed to me that wide receivers coach and area recruiter Lamar Thomas is his lead recruiter. When I asked whether he might visit Kentucky he told me that he hasn't decided yet, but he left the door open to the possibility. Will wait and see but I wouldn't anticipate him to tip his hand on a visit, as he's committed to Miami and probably wouldn't want to rock the boat too much. That said, no reason to believe a flip or anything like that is imminent.

Ryan Montgomery: The Ohio running back is a bit of a mystery. Kentucky offered very early and he visited, but then for at least a while there was a lull in communication with Kentucky. He's blown up a bit but I haven't heard anything that would indicate an uptick in interest from Kentucky. I think he's going to need to camp at some places in order to prove he'll be a take. From my understanding he's probably one of several guys Kentucky is interested in, but may have something to prove, still.

Legend Moore: The 6-foot, 180-pound athlete from Hallandale, Fla., is committed to Northern Illinois but I'm told Lamar Thomas visited his high school on Monday. He's listed as a dual-threat quarterback but chances are he would be another skill position player. Apparently not much earthshaking happened. Thomas conveyed that there is interest. I briefly touched base with Moore when I heard about Thomas visiting and he said he expects to continue to hear from Kentucky throughout the process. If he camps that would help his chances.

Zack Zambrano: The center from Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage is someone I've mentioned briefly here at the House of Blue before. He doesn't have an offer from Kentucky but I'm told that Eddie Gran will be visiting his high school next week. I wouldn't expect an offer to come of that, more than likely it would be Gran checking him out in person and reiterating that he would like to see him in camp. Would be a center/guard guy. Appalachian State, Columbia, Maryland and UPenn have offered.

Willie Canty: You may not have heard much about the Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central offensive tackle but the 6-foot-6, 290-pound prospect is a potential big riser in the recruiting world. He's got an offer from UCF but more recently, and more significantly, he added an offer from Louisville. I believe Kentucky is one of the next schools to get involved. Someone from his school has told me that Eddie Gran has been in some contact and was planning to schedule a time to come down. Nothing finalized on that yet, but Canty could become a major target for Kentucky.

Dante Lang: Kentucky and Arkansas have been near the front of this defensive end's list for a while but it seems like he's really hoping for Miami, Florida and some other schools to turn up the heat. If he doesn't get one of those offers before the summer I would expect him to camp.

Stanley Garner: I've been told to watch out for this guy when it comes to Kentucky's recruiting efforts in Florida. He's a three-star defensive back from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard and the younger teammate of Kentucky signee Jordan Wright. I believe he'll be visiting Kentucky this summer and he's someone Eddie Gran is pushing very hard for. Really not sure what other schools consider him a priority because Bowling Green and FIU are a couple of his recent offers but we'll see. About a month ago Garner told Rivals.com that Gran was one of the coaches in the most frequent contact with him.

Keontra Smith - It will probably be wise to continue to track the top players, even the younger ones, at Chaminade Madonna. Fair? Think so considering UK's recent run of recruiting success there. Smith is a 2019 defensive back at the school -- a 5-foot-11, 193-pound very talented ballhawk with offers from Auburn, Kentucky and Louisville. Those three, plus Indiana, are his Power Five offers, so it's not a shock that those three are his favorites (according to David Furones of the Sun Sentinel). Furones also reported this week that a Miami offer would be a game changer.
