I read where they told him to pipe down or be escorted out of the stadium. Is there anything more annoying than the constant whistling?? I’d rather be surrounded by cowbells than hear him for a game.

I was in Omaha for the UofL-Vandy game on Sunday, and he got going early but had stopped somewhere around the 3rd-4th inning (thankfully).

Really glad they shut him down; not saying that so much as a UofL fan, but for the crowd in general.

In reality, the participating team's fans make up a small percentage of the crowd at the CWS games (especially the opening weekend). IMO, while I'm sure the the whistle thing plays well at a Vandy home game in Nashville, a crowd made up of mostly general baseball fans at a neutral site shouldn't have to deal with that silliness.

I read in the ESPN article that a lawyer told him that he could sue if he had been thrown out of the game. I find that ridiculous. A ticket is a revocable license; someone who is annoying others around him (basically everyone) should not be allowed to continue that behavior. I say this as a Vandy grad - makes no sense that someone would behave that way much less be allowed to behave that way.

The last year Vandy came to Lexington at the Cliff, he was removed from the stadium during the Saturday game and was not allowed to return on Sunday. I really don’t mind cheering. And I don’t mind a little back and forth between opposing fans. But the whistler in my book is an eyesore, or better yet earsore, to the game.

I don't know how anyone can enjoy it. It is painfully annoying. At peak stressful times it might actually be all right. It could be distracting for an opponent, kind of like getting loud with 2 strikes. However, this guy does it for basically half the game. He probably likes it because it gets him attention. I can't stand it. Like I said, I refuse to watch any Vandy games that UK isn't playing and it is solely because of him whistling.
