The Unsung Hero: Cats v. Zags

Made first 15…missed last 3. Worked out but those last 2 were stressful!
In retrospective if Carr missed the 1st and made the 2nd Gonzaga would have taken it out with 5 tics left but the 2nd miss was tapped away in the lane and it took a few seconds off the clock before the Zags could corral it. So no long Grant Hill pass etc. Guy who ended up with it probably had no idea how many tics were left when he crossed halfcourt.
Worked out beautifully.

We were a good FT shooting team until Clemson. That environment got to us.
With how much Butler and Williams get fouled, I'd like to see their % increase. Especially LB. I must have let a few bad games inject some bias.

Overall, you're right. We're a good FT shooting team. I should remedy that statement to say hopefully that % becomes the norm against better competition, but 83% would be nice every game.

I was saying please make them both but if you have to miss one, make the first and miss the second. Then they would have to battle for a rebound and get the ball to at least half court in like 2 seconds to get a shot off. Unfortunately, he missed the first. So I thought maybe it's best if he ends up missing them both now so they have no time to set anything up. Fortunately, it ended up working out for us with Carr knocking the ball away from the player after missing both free throws.

I was absolutely SHOCKED to see we were 15-15 when that stat came up bc I felt that was a huge difference in the first half- it felt like Ginzaga wasn’t missing a single free throw!!!!

Williams nailed two HUGE ones during that comeback stretch.
