AND Coach Calipari deserve a STATE OF THE ART Arena!. Not a renovated Rupp. A brand new Arena. I get it that Rupp has history and all but this program is the greatest college basketball program of all time and one could argue NKU's mens basketball arena puts Rupp to shame when it comes to being nice and state of the art. Its just kind of inexcusable to me not to have an arena of that caliber while Louisville is down the road. We may be able to get away with minor upgrades to Rupp while Cal is here, but this is something that needs to be done for future coaches. The banners can move. We can still hold maybe a couple games a year in Rupp...But I just think we deserve a state of the art arena. We have a state of the art practice facility, players lodge and locker room....why not an Arena? If the City of Lexington doesn't want to play ball, I am sure you can find many of donors to help with a new arena. Slap Alltech on the front of it for all I care. Cal and the program deserve it.
