Cal actually plays some zone the last 3 -4 weeks of the year ? If it works some folk will praise him for making such a bold move when 90% of the damn state knows we should have used it OCCASIONALLY many many games ago . .

Cal has been developing a 1-3-1, a 2-3, box and 1, and a triangle zone. He will deploy it in the NCAA tourney. When the opposing coach calls a timeout to adjust, he will come back out in man to man, when they call a timeout to adjust to that, he comes back out in one of the other zones. He is going to leave opposing coaches in the fetal position, sucking their thumbs trying to figure out what just happened... or maybe not.

The teams that have beaten us had done so from the 3pt line and FT shooting. If we would have switched to zone tonight it probably would have been much worse.

Disagree. If a guy like Murray just has one area to protect, he won't get freaking lost all the time and give up wide open 3's.
