i hate refs as much as anybody, but monk fouled jackson on the 3, and part of the ball was still inside the cylinder on bam's put-back

if any part of the ball is inside the cylinder when a player touches it, by rule, it's a goal tend. doesn't matter if another part of the ball is below the rim, or if the ball is coming off. the rule is that the entirety of the ball has to be outside the cylinder. it wasn't

monk moves into the legs of a jumpshooter. pretty clear foul

What part of the ball was in the cylinder? The first pic is prior to BAM even making contact with the ball

The 2nd pic is after Bam made contact with the ball and is in the process of tipping it in:

And Fox's drive at the end of the first half, crystal clean block in your tinted viewpoint?

Not to mention the dunk goal tending not called

Bam's over the back tip in

Monk foul not called on his last 3

Willis loose ball call

Several Meeks push in the backs

Numerous non calls on Berry push offs

And....oh.... I don't know maybe the fact they should not have even been able to play in the freaking tourney in the first place!!

Johnny, you talk as though you are an Official. So was I (it's been a while, but rule hasn't changed).

Respectfully: You've got this one dead wrong. 100% for certain.

Might put money on UNC for Mondays game because the way my luck it I always lose. So would lose some cash BUT get the satisfaction that UNC lost the title. So kinda a win win. lol

See an eye Dr.

Higgins came running a half court away to call fouls on Gabriel, Hawkins and Willis. Running like there was a fire. Did that 0 times yesterday. Tell your hog bud.

The ball was completely out of the cylinder, but thanks anyway, and Monk got fouled on his 3 at then end of the game which they didn't call. Enjoy this national title the NCAA has giftwrapped for your crooked, corrupt Tar Heels.

@JohnnyGentle - you need to go back under the bridge and regroup. You forgot some plays, it appears.

You try so hard.

Many people could tell the fix was in weeks ago; uncheat to win it was at 6:1 odds before the tournament. A $500 bet would have gotten you $3000 Monday night .

As far as I'm concerned Gonzaga is the 2017 NCAA champion. NC is academic filth and such scum is not eligible to play in the tournament. This abomination is present only due to the incompetence of the governance body. The game Monday is no more than exhibition and the results irrelevant. I feel sorry for the Zags having to demean themselves by playing that filth as five other teams were similarly degraded.

Congratulations Zags!. Congrats to USC as 2017 runners up.

Smart money is on UNC because they have the better coach and better players. The more talented team usually wins, but not always. That is why we love sports.

no, dumbass. if i thought that, i probably would have said that

jackson jumped in the air to shoot a 3, came down, and got away with it. willis didn't even touch berry going after a loose ball, and higgins called him for a foul. fox beat stiffman white to the spot and got trucked. bam got mauled by meeks on the way up, and then got called for a phantom over the back on the follow

all of these are much better examples of how higgins stuck it to cal than monk drifting into a jumpshooter's legs or two screen grabs showing the innermost part of the ball is inside the cylinder. pointing that out is 'derailing the thread' and proves i'm a carolina fan

you're like children

I'm not sure you're a fan of anything. I do think you are a pompous jerk who is trying to stir up a passionate fan base while their emotions are running high after a colossal screw job. Then you can't understand why you are called a troll. Go figure.

uh gee the very existence of the thread, and countless others, and roofareegate, indicates people are stirred up independently of anything i do

fox spent the last 12 minutes of the first half on the bench after taking a charge that was called a block, and a ticky-tack--at best--foul that was not replayed on the broadcast and did not influence the game. bam was mugged by meeks on the block right in front of higgins, and then called for over the back

hell, maye hung on the rim and the basket was not disallowed. that was a blown goaltending call

monk fouled jackson on the 3, and by rule, bam committed basket interference. (the cylinder extends to the ceiling.) using those plays as examples, when higgins clearly did go out of his way to stick it to cal and uk in the first half, looks pretty dumb

You must be blind in one eye & can't see out of the other one. Or maybe just plain stupid !
