Both played the toughest teams in the ACC as well. UNC is not very good. Duke and Clemson are much tougher.
Those were the two toughest games. Dook and Clemson might be the best teams in the ACC.
Yep. Only thing that really sucks about us losing is Ewetee might now be No 1.
I don't think there is any doubt about Duke....We shall see about Clemson. They could be.
Notice both of those losses were on the road by realistically 2 & 4 points.
They returned the majority of an elite 8 team (4 key players) and added some solid pieces. KenPom top 25 as it stands. They miss the star they had last season but they’ll be solid all year
Clemson is a good team. People don’t realize what they brought back from last season to go with their additions. They’re a top 20 team all day. They’ll finish in the top 3 of their conference. Maybe top 2.
Duke’s Evans was ridiculous from 3. He did not play against us or Kansas. Probably not scouted by Auburn. That was turn around in first half which proof to be decisive at the end.
At least at this point of the year Clemson looks every but as good as any other ACC team I’ve seen. They certainly have one of the better coaches.

Their offense is not T25. (Ranked 36)
Their defense is close to top T15 though. (Ranked 16)
Which is what we saw the other night. They didn't have a lot of scoring (I mean how many times did we say "That's another tough shot they just hit") but if the refs allow them to hack people to death like that, they won't need the scoring.

and not to mention Auburn and us were jobbed by ACC officials. fair officiating and the SEC would be undefeated.
as it stands the SEC vs ACC up til this moment of the season is 27-3 .... and to top it off Florida will play UNC soon on a neutral court and I think Florida can win that easily to make 28 wins, Tennessee plays Miami which is a win for 29 wins , we'll make it 30 wins against UL, then 2 tossups, CLemson @ South Carolina and LSU vs SMU so until the NCAAT it really could be 30-5 , just jaw dropping and really the ACC is so bad I think the Mountain West conference could beat the ACC in a conference challenge

Makes me wish we pulled it off even more. Imagine Auburn being the lone loss to a team we beat. We'd be sky high right now.

We are not the same team that beat Duke these last 3 games. Our intensity has fallen off.
Over on the Duke board their fans had been complaining about him not getting to play all year .Damn basketball bennies . They must have been right. Hopefully Sheyer is Cal junior.
I agree although I wouldn't say intensity. Several of the 3's especially in the first half were rushed without any inside out game. Williams deciding he can dribble the ball from outside the key into the paint was another head scratcher (and turn-over multiple times), there was little perimeter passing and Pope summed up (in a different way) what I saw which was too much isolation one on one. So, if the lesson is learned then we will beat Gonzaga or at least look good in losing. We did not look good in losing to Clemson.
I had posted much earlier in the season that the team reminds me of the Bama team of a few years ago. Super team when hitting their 3's and a loss when they don't. Clemson was "a don't." Yet, it was a close game.
