The Reds are on pace to be shutout 81 times this season.

They are beyond horrendous. Offense looks like blind guys trying to catch lightening bugs.

Check this out. Historic stuff...

JD, that is something. With the acquisitions in the off season, I thought we would have a potent offensive attack. As you said, the pitching has been a pleasant surprise to start the year. The bats woke up on Saturday and Sunday producing 5 runs in each game. Sadly, however, the results were the same.

Someone said Winker and Schebler started 0 for 30? Is this real life.

Meanwhile, here's a fun fact. Dietrich played LF almost exclusively before here. Bring up Senzel, add Scooter again, option Wink and Schebs.....suddenly we're cooking with propane and propane accessories.

Never been high on Schebler from the beginning. Injury prone and inconsistent production at the plate from him. At least Jose Peraza has made the Todd Frazier trade not a total blow.

I'm not ready to put Winker in the same category with Schebler. He was on a roll before having shoulder surgery mid-way through last season. Perhaps this is one reason for a slow start. I don't know. However, he is neither a power hitter nor a speedster. Had a noticeable defensive blunder on opening day that the Reds thankfully recovered on for their only win this season.

No player should be in Senzel's way in CF or hell even LF when he makes his much anticipated debut. Clear the way. By the time he returns, the Reds would have secured another year of team control so there is zero excuse for him not to be added to the 25-man roster.

Puig has RF locked down. Kemp seems like trade bait at this stage of his career and on an expiring contract like Puig & Alex Wood. Wish they could dump Schebler off on some OF depleted team. Addition by subtraction just like getting rid of Homer this past offseason.

The Reds are now on track to finish the year with a 153 game winning streak and be the best team in the history of baseball.

Still early but have to say Dietrich has been a nice surprise after the Marlins cut him. I didn't understand why at the time but it worked to the Reds benefit so that's a positive. Winker starting to come around now and shown some power this past week. Regardless what happens tomorrow, they made this Monterrey series worthwhile with a win as long as this 5-1 lead holds up.

Reds on a 4 game winning streak. 5-2 over the Cards tonight. DeSclafani on the hill tomorrow against Miles Mikolas. It will fade but really no reason why they can't go on a run with the pitching so far. Scooter will be like a mid-season trade when he rejoins the line up and Senzel could be a real X-factor. 0.5 game above the Cubbies now, their pitching has been horseshit.
