That's the timeline..... although universities typically ask for extensions.... which are generally granted.Asked and answered
"UL officials had hoped that Thursday’s announcement by the NCAA would finally put the subject to rest, but now it will drag on for at least another three months. Smrt said the university has 15 days to notify the NCAA that it intends to appeal, then 30 days to file a response. After another 45 days of what Smrt called “going back and forth with information”, an appeals hearing would be scheduled."
Who will hear the appeal? That's the timeline..... although universities typically ask for extensions.... which are generally granted.
Taking a conservative approach you're looking at a 3-4 month process. The banner should be removed by September.
A different set of administrators and lawyers.Who will hear the appeal?
Could UL take it to court if their ncaa appeal is denied?
Would love to see Turtleneck and Three-Stacks under oath with threat of perjury...

With our current climate of snowflakes and uber political correctness, can't fathom a chance in HELL they would undo the punishment levied by their colleagues.http://web1.ncaa.org/committees/committees_roster.jsp?CommitteeName=1APPEALS
The court has very little jurisdiction over the governance of a private entity like the NCAA. UofL tried to sue the NCAA over Mohamed Lasege's eligibility (I actually agreed with them when they did this) but a federal judge shot down their injunction.
Won't ever happen.

That would be essentially declaring their own organization null, void, and utterly impotent.
This case was an easy target, served up on a platter.
UL will be digging like mad men to come up with something that would give the committee a reason to lessen things. Almost guarantee they will come up with something, maybe by illegal route, which they are good at. A lot of schools would just own up and take what they deserve. Some schools would be mad at employing such unethical and immoral men like Pitino and Jurich and clean house. But this school......the leadership is so weak. Can definitely see them continue to kick and scream all the way....whatever they have to do to get their way. With our current climate of snowflakes and uber political correctness, can't fathom a chance in HELL they would undo the punishment levied by their colleagues.
