The official "Pat Adams Sucks" thread.

Pat Adams sucks wind thru his ass.

cal actually walked out to mid court in front of everyone calling his name, laughing at him. that's how bad that call was.

Possibly the worst officiated game I've ever seen.

Definitely top 5 all-time in 40+ years that I've been watching. Missed calls on both ends, absolutely getting mugged on rebounds the whole game, tons of calls against UK (more than on A&M by a wide margin). For those of you who don't think the officials are absolutely horrible and ruining this sport, wake up and smell the coffee.

Had to be Pat Adams in this one. Just bend us over and ass-rape us as badly as you can.

yeah...

The SEC is really going to have to overhaul their officiating crews and really make it clear what the rules are...

Jay Bilas was on point with his charge rant that he went on...very true...and he was right about the technical...refs really need to no the difference between intention and malicious poor sportsmanship vs some emotion and celebratory behavior...

Some body in the UK athletic administration really needs to start some conversations with other admins across the conference and get together on fixing this officiating problem...

It's been terrible..not just for UK, but across the country...

He's just one of many horrible refs in this league. If you don't want Pat Adams calling our games then who do you want? I don't know that we have a good one in the league.

Cal's reaction was great, he knew exactly what Adams was doing, and he was excited to do it. Guess what will be the topic of conversation on highlight shows tonight? Whose face will be all over ESPN, CBSSN, etc?

Has no business officiating at the college level, or possibly any level. As if he hadn't screwed us enough the entire game, he lets a walk go, on the final play and the A+M player tips it in. Fitting finish.

Looked to me that the A&M player charged Briscoe on the drive for the final basket. Foul should have been called and we shoot free throws and basket not counted. I really would like to see a replay on that. I could be wrong. A&M did play a great game.

I've never though Adams was a good official. I actually know his name and that is usually not a good sign for an official. That usually means that he is right in the middle of some questionable decisions.

No, the reason the Cats lost wasn't because of the way the rebounded in the first half. In case you didn't watch the game went to overtime despite that. UK had the lead at halftime despite that. Your logic is DAF.

Across the board there has been a bunch of calls, no calls, this year that are very weird. Seems like the refs have forgotten the new rules that they were given to start the season.

He had to call it. It's the rule.

The rule book is full of rules that don't get called all the time. He didn't have to call it. A technical foul is a judgement call just like a walk or a foul. You don't determine a game by a guy bouncing the ball head high toward the end everyone is moving to. You just don't do that.

"The reason the cats lost they was killed on the boards in the first half.."

... we had a lead at half and we out rebounded them the rest of the game...if my math is correct.

ref had an agenda. I agree with the Tech Humphreys has to control himself there...but missed and made up several other calls against us that were right in front of him or this game never goes to OT.

Surprised he didn't call a couple more in OT against us prior to that last rebound with TAM jumping into us hunting fouls when he had the chance.

He's one of a select few I wont be surprised if they ever prove has ties to gambling or is on the take....or he just hates Calipari like so many others do, without a valid reason why so any chance he has to stick it to us he does.

Can someone explain to me how these officials, who decided to insert themselves into this game, decided to sneak out the back door in the final play? It was clear that Davis shoved Skal in the back after the missed shot. Horrible time for Pat and his cronies to go full gutless!

I agree, that's the first thing I said, but no they let that go, the they were thinking about getting out of the arena at that point.

The SEC has the dregs of the dregs contracted to officiate its games. Not really sure what's going on but, this conference is being laughed at on national TV because of how badly its refs are. Maybe the SEC pays the least or makes the refs fly terrible airlines or something, who knows? But, it has become an embarrassment and a absolute joke.
The #1 color commentator for ESPN is calling SEC officiating "playground stuff" on national TV!!!

I didn't mention the T. I said he missed a traveling call, right in front of him, on the final play. And you are correct, he had to call it, since it is a rule. The problem is, he didn't, and they get a tip to go in. This is why Pat Adams Sucks.

i counted at least eight times guys went chest to chest at full speed with no calls. and i mean besides the charges that were called. they had no idea how to officiate that contact and they lost control of game about midway through the second half. they ruined the game in more ways than one. when is sac got the t the crowd wasn't even going crazy, they were like us...wtf??

A&M was clearly the aggressive team, constantly playing over our backs and pushing off for position.
Not only didn't they have a player foul out in 45 minutes, they didn't even have a player with 4 fouls.

Rerun of the Kansas debacle with Pat Adams crew in charge of the full suck.

Complete worthless POS.

Watched the Cats and Arkansas one time in person at Rupp and was lucky enough to sit behind the scorer's table so I got to be up close for all the action. Trust me, you knew who the "star of the game" was...not Cal, not Mike Anderson, not the players, but Mr. Adams himself. He made sure everyone in there knew he was in control. Same thing today. Never seen such arrogance in an official before, and I've watched a lot of 14th Region basketball in my day if that says anything.

True but had we gotten just half of those rebounds that we should have gotten then we win by 10. Simple as that as well.
Uh, we had the lead, the ball and were going to be shooting freethrows. The completely unnecessary technical foul resulted in our best rebounder in this game getting sent to the bench having fouled out and us having to sub another guy. All of that completely changed the dynamic of the game going into overtime. Pat Admas' call cost us this game and depending on what happens going forward, possibly the SEC regular season title.

Once again incompetence or outright corruption is on display. If Humphries was taunting an A&M player then you most definitely call the T. But we all know that wasn't the case. And you have the usual jagoffs on here defending the crap thinking they're smarter than everyone else because they love to slurp the refs.

Several folks have posted the portion of the NCAA rulebook on this. It is NOT a listed technical offense.
