I don't post many new threads, and I know I will likely catch hell from many for this, but as a loyal paying member for well over 10 years (I don't know how many months, because it used to be listed, but no longer is. Went by the wayside with many other details), I have to speak my mind.
I gave it a fair shake, but after reviewing the new site, there are too many things about it that "I Don't like" to even list, (compared to the previous site) Why did you guys ruin a good thing? The front page is simplistic and just a list of headlines. There is no longer a front page for basketball, football, recruiting, etc. I could go on and on.
And not that I don't support and follow football, but I am in general more of a basketball fan, and we are "smack in the middle" of basketball season. Not to be a downer, but I'm still trying to get the bad taste out my mouth from the way football season ended, and I need a break. I counted 5 news stories on the ticker (none on basketball), and 25 stories all-together scrolling down the front page. There were TWO basketball stories (#18, and #24 on the page). There is a 2016 Football commitment list, 2016 Football prospect list, and the "painful" reminder of the past seasons schedule and results. There is not a single thing highlighting the "historic" basketball recruiting class coming in, and it doesn't even list the current basket ball schedule. And I find a similar trend in the threads on HOB. Did I miss something, is this now CatsFootball Illustrated?
If we were smack in the middle of Football season (or if we were a football powerhouse), I could understand, but we are not. I find myself more and more gravitating to the Sea of Blue, Vaught's Views, Coach Cal.com, and other news tickers to get pertinent BB stories. I never thought I would seriously consider ending my paid membership (and I probably won't), but the fact that I a have to sit and consider whether it's still worth it, I find sad. Howabout at least a little "balance"?
And I know ALL you editors and writers work your butts off, and we all appreciate what you do, so absolutely nothing personal, just giving feedback.
There, that's my 2 cents, sling away.
