No. She said it as OP stated. He said "no"....as if responding to a question, not a statement.Originally posted by CoachR35:

That question is probably asked quite a bit with these recruits.Originally posted by Sawnee Cat:
Where was his father during all of this?
Good chance the old man Harris will reemerge in 3 years at Radio City's green room.Originally posted by HeismanCatNole85:

It just seems that when a recruit has a father with him on the Big Stage at the time of commitment things go a little smoother. This was a train wreck and I was embarrassed for the poor mama.Originally posted by HeismanCatNole85:

The kid picked what school he felt was best for him. He obviously considered us and went down to the wire. That is recruiting! No need to question the kids' character over a decision that he felt was best for HIM. Wish him the best and I hope he balls against every team, but UK. Keep in mind the process is not over. A lot of grown men acting like jealous ex boyfriends(girlfriends) in here! lol S&S
We need to be more concerned with signing quality linemen that can dominate the line of scrimmage with. That is what makes Bama...... Bama. Im sure Boom, JoJo, Mikel, and any other decent back we have could have success behind their offensive line. Running backs come a dime a dozen. If you pay attention to the NFL draft you will see that RB's value has decreased over the years. Bama RB's can attest to that and that is no shot at those guys. Just shows how the game has evolved.

If you knew Elroy Harris, you would know that it wouldn't have gone any smoother with him in the mix. Damien has been raised by his mother, his father has not been around from what I understand. I'm not even sure Elroy is still in Kentucky.Originally posted by Sawnee Cat:

That's exactly right. I heard that and knew the answer immediately. I can't believe they let things like this slip up. I just turned off my computer and went back to work. She said that loud and clear.... seemed to be really sad. They need to watch those microphones.Originally posted by ukfan693:
You could also hear her during the highlight video telling someone that it was time for her to let go, and he needed to spread his wings or something like that. Pretty much gave it away right there.

Do you seriously believe that? If so, then I have some oceanfront property to sell in North Dakota. Screw Bama, and screw Harris. In the NFL, the RB has decreased in value because it has become a pansy-ass league, which is why I no longer watch. The game favors the offense so greatly, that football has become borderline unwatchable. I walked on at Stetson a DECADE AGO (wink, wink), and saw harder hitting than hits that would warrant an ejection.Originally posted by MrCat32:

It has nothing to do with smart coaches. The way the rules are, it promotes passing. QB's can play for 20 years; Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will likely be in their 40's when they retire; if you sneeze on a QB, it's a penalty. If you look at a receiver in a funny way, it's a flag and an automatic first down, while the receivers are allowed to maul the DB's with impunity (Evans, Gronk, Moss, etc). It's the same with the Hurry Up-No Huddle; if you are able to snap the ball before the refs can make a proper call (i.e, commit penalties with impunity), it would be asinine to not do it, especially if you have the athletes (Oregon).Originally posted by crazyqx83:
RB has been devalued in the NFL because smart coaches has learned that a running back's production is 99% the O-line. That and the career span of a running back is like 4 years.
The elite teams the past 10-15 years in the NFL have just cycled thru running backs. The mediocre teams (vikings, texans, chiefs, titans) have tried to build around them.
Pretty sure MrCat32 delivered some pretty stout hits himself playing secondary for UK...if I'm thinking of the right poster.Originally posted by lakercat:
