The last player we had to hit over 100 3 pointers in a season?

Murray is heading towards it. If I recall correctly Knight hit like 86 and Lamb had 68 or so in a season. Would we have to go back to Meeks perhaps?

According to Jon Scott's page, only 2 players have ever broke 100. Meeks with 117 and Ford with 101. Murray is currently at 76, good for 12th most in a season.

If Murray continues his average and Kentucky plays 12 more games, Murray would finish at 113. Outside chance he surpasses Meeks--especially if the Cats make a deep run.

But he shoots too much and is just out for his NBA career... So it shouldn't count.
He should have benched for all his crappy freshman defense he played in the first games of his college career.
Cal just plays his favorites. He is just so stubborn to change. Just think how much better Murray would have been

I don't see the sarcasm emoji, so I call you out ;)

When we have 2 or more 40%+ shooters on the team who played significant minutes, we have made a FF during the Cal era.....2010 we didn't have any and 2013 only had one.....2014 was the exception but we had 3 guys at 35%+

That's true, but his trend is up. Using a flat average, especially with a freshman probably won't show the most likely outcomes. In SEC play he is averaging 3.54 3's/gm. In the past 7 games he us averaging 4.14 3's/gm. In SEC play he is shooting 40.7% from 3. Over the past 7 games that has climbed to 45.3%. All of the numbers are on an upward trend. The last 3 games have been crazy. He is up to 6/gm, shooting 54.5%. Even if he falls back to his SEC average, and we play 12 more games, he'll end up with 118.

It's very likely that he breaks Meeks record - as a freshman.

anybody who allows their performance in college to be affected by their desire to achieve a professional career should have all of their college statistics (grades) nullified! [eyeroll]

Cool thing is the majority of his 3's were at crucial times it was needed fwiw

Lamb had probably the best understanding of when to shoot and when not to shoot of any player I've seen wear a Kentucky uniform. His shot selection was excellent. That's the primary reason his three point percentage was so high.

Can't argue with either of these..
