In the second half, dilly bounced in two free throws. That defensive possession that followed was different. It was like a different team checked in. Penn got nothing that trip. Then we strung a few more defensive possessions where they took care of business. More hustle, more intensity, more urgency. If I’m cal I’m playing that film for the team until they are sick of it.

9:28 to go. 61-57 UK. Penn makes the shot and they are only down 2. Instead, Reed Sheppard blocked a shot, Wagner grabbed it, and Wagner got it to Reeves to push the lead back to 6. UK would go to add another 2 by Reeves, a 2 by Wagner, and then finally a 3 by Reeves to push it to 13.

I'm with you here! I think this team knows how to score... Just continue to move the ball and look for each other. If I'm the coaching staff, I'm focusing on defense for like 85% of each practice.

Yup. They are an offensive minded team. Those squads tend to lose focus or interest on the other side of the floor. Gotta fix that mindset.

a poor offensive showing for this team is over 70 pts. Start holding teams to around 70 and they're easily a contender. That's the trick. Even though we lost a 16 pt lead, today was a move in that direction imo.
