I am extremely excited about Antonio Reeves. The evolution of his game is evident. He has shown great improvement each year.

Hopefully this year he focuses on defense and passing to make his game more complete. Every year he has focused on something he has gotten drastically better in the area of focus.

Shooting: from freshman to Junior year Reeves has grown from a 38fg% to a 47% shooter. His effective field goal percentage is at 54% which mean he draws fouls when he takes the ball to the rack. His mid range and floater game looks great. He shot well enough to be the number

3pt and ft: jumping from 31% to 39% at a high usage means that he is a reliable deep threat. He only failed to make a 3 in 4 games last year. In 22 games he made 2 or more 3’s. His rise a 3pt shooter coincides with rise as an excellent free throw shooter. From 65% to 81% while averaging 4.3 makes per game.

I have reason to believe that he will continue to develop. He has put in the work every off season and has continued to mature physically. Reeves is athletic enough to create his own shot and is a scorer on all 3 levels. Turnovers don’t worry me much. He will not be our primary ball and will not play a facilitator roll.

I believe he knows he needs to show defensive improvement to have a chance to be drafted. He just happens to be with one of the best defensive coaches in the game now.
