The last two years the cheatingest program in the history of college sports has gone unpunished despite all the evidence they needed, and allowed to play for the ncheataa bb championship. All this while the ncheataa spouts their pride about putting the "student first" mantra from its high tower. This is a complete joke and I don't understand why the presidents and ads of all other member schools are not raising holy hell about this blatant cover-up and collusion that is going on. Time for the NCAA to be disbanded if uncheat skates on this.

The NCAA is playing by the rules. If they wanted to exonerate UNC they could have done so. Punishment will take longer if the school fights them this hard.
UNC and Louisville have both tried to play their scandals in such a way as to dampen any harm by winning in a serious way just before the hammer falls. Louisville has probably failed to deliver big results in time. UNC has one more shot at it.

and the dilema of it all is: UNCheat should have not been eligible to compete this year as part of the suspension that should have already happened. 1/2 banners should have been forfeited, NCAA monies returned and post season bans in place. Ole Huckleberry Hound should have been fired/suspended.. "He didn't know"...And he says that the basketball players weren't included in the "fake" classes.. The whole thing stinks to high heaven. Somehow the NCAA has guaranteed UNCheat that this thing will blow over..

Not sure, but that should be the case. It would discourage the delay tactics that have been employed by UNC.
And then all hell should break loose...Just look at the pain in the ass they have been to UK just since Cal has been here.
UNC will be in a rebuild next year. Probably a good year to take their punishment particularly following a possible NC. UNC knew what they were doing the last two years with the delay tactics as well as having NC caliber teams the last two seasons. Wait and see as soon as this season is over the delay tactics will stop.
Believe it when I see it...If uncheat wins the championship the investigation will be over.
Well, look no further than our own AD. You think hatchet men for the establishment are going to go against the establishment? These presidents and AD's are about money, not doing what's right and rocking the boat. It's one of the reasons I hate Barnhart so much. He acts like he's too good for Cal and rollin in the mud, always worried about his image and our name, while he's the worst of the worst. They're very similar to bankers and politicians in a lot of ways.
Maybe, or for the real conspiracy theorist ... Maybe UNC has had help along the way because the NCAA is going to take banners away.
Mitch definitely does not live up to his saintly public image. The list of people that can attest to this has grown long over the years.

Oh got it. Lol. Yea he's nowhere near the man some people believe. If the facts came out about his relationship with Cal over the first 3 years people would demand he be fired.

Maybe unc and NCAA made a deal that if they stick it to UNC and they lose a title or 2 that they not only wait til after this season but give the heels a few breaks to help them get a title right before they strip one or two. I know its out landish but why so long and we all know they are getting a kind whistle.
I am guessing the NCAA will try to get North Carolina to win tonight.They tried last year but Villanova spoiled the party. This way when they take one Championship away they will be given this year's Championship. No Net Loss!

But, I have wondered how ironic this would be if the Cheats won it this year then had 05 and 09 stripped away, if that is the case, then I would accept Cheats winning it this year.

I don't think we're ever totally against the kids, as the adults are the ones who manipulate them to benefit who else, the coach! I have a few that come to mind.
The kids seem like great kids in Chapel Hill. But we all know the narrative of Roy who simply wants to have the last word, when all he should get is peppered with questions until he speaks the truth. Hell will freeze over though.
No reason to be satisfied with UNC winning any more titles until they get their punishment. The NCAA sure worked quick with Memphis like it was their top priority to resolve.

UNC mens basketball is going unpunished. The allegations have been on notice for seemingly ever and were in the public eye going into the championship last yr but nothing happened. No major punishment or sanctions will be handed down. They will not relinquish banners, wins, or even scholarships.
UNC has denied, deflected, and delayed to obtain the outcome they wanted.
